You don't have to wait for your membership to expire to complete the renewal quest.

The only known way to obtain this is by renewing your goblin engineering membership. When you renew your membership (costs 2g, must destroy your membership card before renewing) you will be sent a gift box in the mail 24 hours after you renew. This gift box can have many different random things, and there is a very small chance that this recipe will drop. I got lucky and it dropped on my 5th attempt.

I've heard that you can also renew your membership several times in a row and then recieve several boxes in the mail 24 hours later, but I just renewed my membership once a day and waited for the box to arrive before renewing again.

I've done over 20 renewals so far and have just gotten a bunch of crappy bombs. (It's always either big iron bomb, mithril frag bomb, or hi-explosive bomb.)

i've got it at my 8th renewal.

Its true that you can renew your card several times in a row and recieve this amount of gifts 24h later.

The first 5 times, there where only mithril frag grenades, hi explosives or iron bombs. The last 3 renewal i did yesterday brought me 3 Iron Bombs, Big Seeforium charge shematic, and this Pet Bomb plan! It's good to store the bombs at your bank, cause the pet bombing needs one!

The pet Bombing shematic is bind on pickup, so you can't sell it. But who would do that?

How to renew a goblin membership card? I try to renew it at gadgeztan but it keeps saying that error item found douplicated or something like that... Do i have to wait till my membership time is over? It takes years... still got left 8days.

well, 20 gold later, im still without the bombling... I applaude all who were able to get it within the first 5 tries of renewal and I feel the pain of those whom still havent recieved it yet. But look at it this way guys, most of the time two gold couldn't buy you 8 mitril frag bombs or hi explosive bombs. From where I'm at, the mats would cost at least 3 to 5 gold to get from the AH.

You can still get this as of 10/5/05.

84 Renewals, and it was totally worth it.

I sell all the Hi-Explosive Bombs on the auction house for 6 gold per 8. They sell very well, making the renewals almost free. The vendor price of Big Iron Bombs and Mithril Frag Bombs aren't too bad either. I sell all the schematics fairly cheap and still make some money off of it.

hey guys! after trying and spending well over 100g i finally got the schematics!
i renewed 5 times yesterday and today i get a veryy plesent surprise!
the first box i opened i got the schematic, but as i opened more boxex i got 2 other land mine schematics, 4 iron bombs and 2 pet bombling schematics! totally awesome. too bad i got no use for the other schematic :'(

Well after 104 renewals (107 total but got lucky on the 104th lol) I finally got the schematic:D
I have a huntress that is a gnomish engineer and she got the lil'smokey schematic after the 1st renewal. Don't give up you will get yours too^^ persistance pays off, or should I say insanity and obsession pay off lol. On a side note, lil'smokey and the pet bombling are noisy, but the bombling only makes a racket when he's running, as opposed to the constant whirring of lil'smokey.

Alright, enough of everyone saying how long it took them to get it and how happy they are. can someone let me know if i am right when i say the pet Gnomish engineers get is Lil'smokey and gnomish engineers have NO chance of ever getting the pet bomb?

diesem Diagramm dich zu erhalten mu� deine Koboldtechnik erneuern indem es 2g zahlt. du wirst dann recieve ein Paket in der Post, die gerade gelegentliche Einzelteile und dieses Diagramm also enth�lt, geschiehst, sehr selten zu sein.

the only person that sells goblin engineering memberships is in Gadgetzan. once you reach a certain point in normal training the trainer will offer up a quest for each sub-style of engineering (got mine from eng trainer in IF)

and...just got my bombling schematic! only 6-7 renewals.

also, you CAN do multiple renewals at once. takes ~24 hours to get your gifts.

one more thing. if you're trying to get this schematic, keep a big iron bomb that will undoubtedly be one of the renewal gifts you get before the actual schematic. its one of the mats!

Well I've spent nearly 240 or something gold and gone through around 120+ renewals, no Pet Bombling, might quit the game over this crap, someone gets it in ten renewals, I spend two WEEKS just eating through every instance and selling all kinds of stuff and i STILL don't have it? That's messed up.

renewed the schematic over 50 times since I became artisan engineer, yesterday I opened up my wallet and prayed a small prayer for a tiny bit of luck and renewed it 11 times.

I got 3 (!) of these schematics, now I am a happy owner of a tiny, charming and useless bombling! :]

I'm going to post what I get every day. I will buy 5 renewals per day until I get this damn thing.

Day 1: Dunno, it was too long ago! Lots of bombs.
Day 2: Some more bombs. Mithril Frag, Big Iron and Hi-Explosives. Will post Day 3 tomorrow!
Day 3: Some bombs, some more bombs, even more bombs... AND THE SCHEMATIC. OH YEAH.
Cost me 30g, but totally worth it. Totally.

Finally got mine. On my 4th trip to the goblin membership dude. Other than that got mithril frag and iron bombs. Get many comments on my new pet when in town. Too bad it cant be made and sold, but i guess that would take away from the uniqueness of it. well worth the 4 trips.

I KNOW HOW TO GET A PET BOMBLING FOR GNOMISH ENGINEERS......................you wont like it though. you'll need 50-100g quit engineering and restart it get to 225 and then get goblin engineering now go renew ur card until u get this schemetic and quit engineering now go and get your eninering back to 225 and get gnomish engineering now learn the pattern and boom u can make these as a gnomish engineer!.........you still lost quite a bit of cash tho :'(

Hello,
I tried to renew my card but it keeps telling me that "failed duplicate found" something like that. I deleted the card and it let me do it again but I didnt recieve anything. I checked my mail and there was nothing in there. What am I doing wrong?
