Though this dagger is not so good stat-wise, this is a favorite of leveling dagger rogues. The low(relatively) weapon speed yields much better damage when using non-normalized abilities such as Ambush and Backstab.

It's cheap, effective, and you'll use is for a few levels before you replace it!

The benefit of Tigerbane is not so much in its speed, or even its DPS *which is actually OK for its level*, but in its value in Stranglethorn Vale.

You can start the Mastery questline around level 33 (although its advisable to wait until 34). Having one of these, if not two, is brilliant in STV where you are fighting beasts ad nauseum.

This is quite a very good dagger for its level and usefull for <heavy> rogue skills.It gets maximum effect if used while exping in STV.The nice with this dagger is that is designed to look like those jungle daggers indiana jones was using.Pretty smart design for a <jungle>dagger which is against beasts.

I bought one for 1g50 today. Going to use it once i turn level33 unless i can find/buy a claw of shadowmancer or talon of vultros - which are both better i must admit. this dagger is nothing too special except for its damage, which is alright. the attack power would be good if it wasnt only against beasts. I can crit for 420 with my current so hopefully this should increase it to 500

i've just bought it for 2g on AH.
im going to use it with my toxic revenger dagger, which has the same min/max dmg, dps and speed. ^^

I think that this will turn out to be very funny xD

Hi I have Tigerbane in main hand and Hypnotic Blade in my off hand ! I have a question is it better to have Hypnotic Blade in main hand or maybe have 2 Hypnotic Blade is taht better ? >It have good dps speed but no buffs :p Tigerbane dont have buffs so I only want know if its good to have 2 of Hypntic Blade

Been in STV doing the hunters quests and this has dropped for my group 4x. No particular mob, just a random green drop.

If you kill enough stuff in STV eventually I am sure you will see this drop.

I got this of an elemental in Manoroc Coven. I'm a dagger collector, and didn't have one of these, so I'm happy, though my lock would never use it.

on my rogue alt i bought tigerbane i ahve also swinetusk shank and torturing poker which i dont use as it isnt any good in Mh i put tigerbane for good ambush/backstab crits Oh swinetsk shank this is a good combo for subtly rogues my lvl

Just bought it on AH for 1g20s, and i got 78s from my OLD one from vendor. To get this under 2g is just great imo..So now i have this one and a Swinetusk Shank with my lvl36 rogue.

Well, this has dropped twice for me. Not a really exciting drop, 'specially since its only beasts, but I suppose if you want to get your skinning up really fast. /shrug

A great, very cheap pickup for anyone starting their STV quests. You can get these for between 1.5 and 6ish G on Sentinels Server at the AH.

If you aint getting gold from elsewhere, there really is not much better bang-for-the-buck than this for the STV beast-killing runs.

On the side note, the STV quests with this is also a good time for those warriors to get that dagger skill up a bit if they have fallen behind (fury warriors that is).

really nice dagger. the speed is slow and so the dmg is higher wich means better crits from ambush and backstabs for rogues.
personally i got 800crit from ambush with it and 504crit from backstab at lvl 34!

I got this dagger from a guildmate. Pretty nice and the extra attack power is helpful against beasts. I plan on using it till I get the Sword of Omen from the SM quest. Also the fact it looks like a combat knife is just kick ass.

My group had two of these drop in a pack of 3 mobs. We were quite amused.

Talk about the odds being against you, but not only did this drop twice in the same run, I won the greed roll for both of them. And oh how the PUG was howling.

Don't ask me to calculate the odds of this happening again for anyone. My calculator blew up after it hit 0.00002%
