Grouping

Mob scaling is reduced for 4 and 5 player parties.

All players get to choose their own Anima Power whenever one drops. This makes it more likely that someone in your group gets powerful Anima Powers like 300 Fantasmes or Givréclat.

Only one person needs to buy the Cellule d’anima pillée and Cellule d’anima vorace for the group. This person can be someone that has an excess of Fantasmes, or the player that has no Anima Powers that they want to purchase on the vendor.

Most mobs can only attack one target at a time -- this makes it even easier in a group!

A group comes with more utility options such as interrupts, purges, stuns and other CC's, which are useful on many elites, rares and bosses!

Autorité du Veilleur is available from Garde antreliges and Factionnaire antrelige in all wings but Coldheart Interstitia and Mort'regar. This power automatically opens Soul Cages close to you. Considering how many Souls are out there in Torghast, it can be easy to forget a few, and this power helps with that. Releasing Souls from their prison in Torghast grants you a stacking buff in the form of Bénédiction du vestige d’âme, giving 1% Primary Stat per Soul released, so you want to get as many out as you can! Please be mindful that this only opens Soul Cages and you still need to manually free Souls chained to the ground.

If you need more Phantasma, it might be a good idea to throw an Orb on Skeleton mobs to get the Extracteur de moelle Anima Power, which causes Skeletons to drop 10 times as much Phantasma! This is especially useful in The Fracture Chambers, where many Squelette spawn through all floors.

In The Soulforges, you can obtain Braises avides de flammes from Maître forgeflamme, Gardien de la forge, Mandefeu antrelige and Couve-flamme antrelige. This Anima Power reduces all Fire damage taken by 65%, which is not only useful against mobs in the wing that mostly use Fire damage, but also reduces the damage of the stacking Tourment : Chaleur de la forge des Âmes. This can also be useful against certain Torghast bosses, such as against Le grand marteleur's Inferno !.

In Mort'regar, Deadsoul mobs drop death pools when defeat that damage anyone that passes through them and persist for the entirely of the floor. If you're having issues with them, you can use a Ravenous Anima Cell on them to get the Flamme du purificateur Anima Power, which will instead cause these pools to heal you!

In normal wings, using the Orb on Négociant Ve'ken on Floor 3 can be useful if you already bought everything from him, as you can get 400 Phantasma via Bourse de négociant to help you prepare against the final boss fight via having more wares from Négociant Ve'nott on Floor 6. However, DO NOT DO THIS ON TWISTING CORRIDORS! In Twisting Corridors, the Brokers appear in more than one floor, and killing one early on will make it so it doesn't spawn for the rest of the run.

Find the skull that swaps all 4 colours. Click that skull until the chain in front of that skull is removed.

Find the skull that swaps only 3 colours (it will be the colours directly in front of the 3 remaining chains) and click it until the chain directly in front of that skull is removed.

Find the skull that swaps only 2 colours. Click that one until the chain directly in front of that skull is removed.

Click the remaining skull until the chest is unlocked!

The first skull on the left changes 2 colours.

The second skull changes 4 colours.

The third skull changes 1 colour.

The fourth skull changes 3 colours.

In Mort'regar, using a Ravenous Anima Cell on one of the wraith-type enemies gives you Purifying Flame, which stops the puddles they leave when they die from hurting you (and in fact, if you stand in them you absorb them and heal up). It's not necessary, but it makes the back half of layers much easier.

some of them reduce the RNG of Anima Powers by offering higher quality Anima Powers on vendors.

ALL of them have a "chance" to offer. SO it's RnG on top of RnG.

I am so effin'g sick of this feature, its cancer - post nerfs and all, there is nothing, absolutely NOTHING enjoyable about this pathetic mindless beat down all for soul ash. Even with these nerfs, I do not find anything enjoyable about this at all. Blizzard should just absolutely wipe this mindless thing from this expansion or watch the drove of players drop it like a BfA/Draenor expansion. Should simply be 1-2 floors or just a dungeon, but this is cancer.

Class-specific tip for Death Knights (Unholy may not likely use this though):

Be mindful of what counts as Undead in here, and use Control Undead!

In Mort'regar, Deadsoul Echoes are MONSTERS! They will utterly shred packs with Discordant Barrage.

Even if your spec does not use Death Coil (Blood/Frost), it can heal up your new friend as well.

Do note: They cannot transition floors with you, so no bringing your slave to a boss fight. And once the 5 minute duration is up, just re-enslave it, and keep going!

It will let you take anything up to level 61 Undead, including Elites, so check out what options you can get!

The death pools don't last forever. They last between 5 and 10 minutes - I just did layer 2 of the Twisting Corridors and floor 12 onwards was all Mort'regar and I was killing stuff with my entangling roots/mass entangle so it was taking a while and the pools were disappearing.

There's an easier way to do the Rune locked chest: Just click on the skulls in front of the chains until they disappear (don't fret if they reappear when you click another skull). Go in order from left to right, then go back and click on them again if they reappear. Much simpler than having to figure out the way outlined above.

You forgot the puzzle on the wall where you have to move tiles to get the light from the left side to the right side.
