I have found this item to have a relatively lower drop rate. I killed close to 120 bugs over three days to get it. Could have just been a bad draw on my part. But the mobs are spread out nicely, and have a decent repop rate.

I killed 3 and there it was, very easy, no problem to get the Un'goro Soil too, just find 2 Un'goro Dirt Pile and there it was

the drop chance seems to be higher. sinds when i got the quest i get the drop very quickly. but if i not have the quest it will never drop. thing of like if you make a 5x of the drop chance you got around what the drop chance is.

in case you havn't figured it out yet, thottbots drop rates arn't very accurate, it's rare, but not that rare

and before some moron yells at me yes it is because this will only drop while you're on this quest, and thottbots numbers are based on the total number of times these things have been killed, regardless of if you had the quest or not

I killed the following of each:
Wasp 8
Reaver 6
Worker 4

And received it from a wasp. Took me about 15 mins to do at lvl 53.

Only took a Couple of Drops for me. Don't be fooled by the drop rates. I'm pretty sure it only drops if you currently have the quest...

It wasn't too hard. Since this is a lvl 50 quest, it does take longer to get the quest item to allow you to build up XP from killing them. This dropped after about 15-20 tries.

Either the drop rate has changed since the most recent patch or I was just very lucky today because this dropped from the first worker I killed.

May just be coincidence, but dropped off 2nd kill inside the hive, in the Alien ecology room. As compared to 15 kills outside the hive and no drop

Well I must be one of the lucky ones, Cuz I got mine with 4 worker kills. worst was in between 2 and 3 had to run like heck 2 workers and one of the wasps attacked my pet. we both lived but was a pain. Not 40-50 kills a pain but....
