someone put two of these on AH with no buyout. Stupid. Picked em both up for about 30s each, learned one, listed the other for 4g. The gloves are great shaman gloves, and tons of alliance peeps will have shaman alts with gold to spend after the expansion.

BTW hold on to those one handed maces that would never sell before, now they're gonna be hot items.

You have to complete a christmas quest for this one. I forget which one it was, but it gives you a present box. Inside this present box is a random Christmas pattern/formula or a learnable item, usually. I got 2 characters who have completed the quest and I got Pattern: Gloves of the Greatfather and Formula: Enchant Weapon - Winter's Might. These quests are available around christmas and can give great rewards. I hope this info was useful to you, and good luck!

I just got this in org AH Burning Blade, 5g. Anyone need a pair of gloves, let me know.

I got the pattern for 7g from AH. When I first got it I was selling the gloves for 8-9g. Not bad. I then got the pattern from the quest when I completed it. Made 4 of the gloves and they sat in the ah for over a week. I dropped em from 8g to 5g to 4g to 2g. Finally vendored them. No1 wants these gloves.

Saw it for sale today on Medivh server. 50g, no buyout. Have to admire the sellers foresight in hanging on to it this long before selling, but the price leads me to believe it might be the Grinch himself selling it . . . or Scrooge. Personally, at that price, I hope no one touches it. I'm getting sick of people trying to gouge on recipes all the time.

The day after this quest came back there were 3 patterns on AH for about 35g each... now, it's an average of 7-15g each with a buyout trending towards 20-25g. I was lucky enough to buy a pattern for 3g or so, and then jumped on another one with a 50s buyout the next day.

Unfortunately, no one actually wants to buy these gloves for some reason. The elemental earth is a costly material, and I barely price it above materials cost, but no one seems interested in the only pair of these gloves to be seen on the AH in months.

I just got my pattern for 6 Gold on AH. The other ones were all over 20 Gold. Sweet!

i have done the grench quest, i slayed him(with some help from some low lvl noobs(why, im lvl 60 =/) who wouldnt leave me) and i took to IF to get my reward... didnt get the pattern or the frost thingy.. =/

That's correct. This pattern was a quest reward. I dont believe there is a way to get this pattern now, unless there is a player that has it and hasn't learned it and is willing to sell.

judging from thottbot, these came from greatfather winter, can anyone confirm or deny this? anyother place that they could be gotten now that the holidays are over?

It was a quest to kill the grinch, and you got a random reward, these gloves were one, and one of the other rewards was a +frost spell dmg enchant.
