It seems like the buff from this food is instant, i am not able to confirm this but if it is, it seems more like a potion exept you cant use it in combat.

As of 29. of August '07 I can confirm that these procs at once you start eating them, ergo, they're "instant cast".

For every Runn Tum Tuber Surprise you eat, im gonna eat 3 pieces of meat.

has anyone considered using these > spell dmg or spell crit food buffs? i know it's only 10 minutes and is only 10 intellect but, for me as a balance druid it would provide quite a few benefits. a few spell dmg, a few mp5, as well as some spell crit and extra mana.

This recipe is dropped off of the key holder imp Pisillin in Dire Maul East Instance. I've killed him twice and it dropped off him both times.

Rum Tum Tubers are also found in the same instance off pods you have to open. The good thing about this is that 5-8 tubers drop at one time so if you have no competeition you end up with over a stack at the end of the instance.

Drops off Pisillin, as the other guy said.

Be careful when gathering tubers from pods, as sometimes the pods are traps that spawn any number of nasty things, from deadly poison clouds to swarms of little plants monsters.

Make sure to warn your party before opening any pods. The poison cloud effect can do up to roughly 4000 damage over about 10 seconds, so if the healer isn't nearby or is oom you might get someone killed.

Are there any recipes that are 300 skill? I noticed that this is listed as 275. Seems like there should be at least several different things that require 300 cooking to make.

Im at 300 and some of these are still yellow we can only hope they raise the cap some day and add new recipes

The buff DOES NOT STACK with food buffs such as Poached Bluefish - i.e. you can only have one or the other.
