In the box that I found within the Wailing Caverns. I received the following items which are not on the list:

1x Onyx Choker of the Gorilla ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=12032 )

1x Thick Hide ( https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=8169 )

The other items (4 more) were all on the list.

I if you check the "Rewarded from" tab, you will notice that it states Your Fortune Awaits You... as the quest, and Darkmoon Faire as the category. So yes, IMHO it is the same box.

Although mainly just a lunchbox, I expect we'll see this intermingled with high level items, making it kinda worthwhile

I found one of these from mulgore, that kobold in darkmoon faire gave me quest that i should look something inside some tree.

I got 2 greater healing potions, 2 mana potions, sweet nectar and schematic : parachute cloak inside.

I got Sayge's Fortune #24 or something... told me to go to the Deadmines. I ran around, dying n such cuz I was lvl 14, finally getting in the instance and barely escaping death from a lvl 17 Miner... Ran around for a few seconds and a chest appeared... opened it, got the lockbox, and I got a Gypsy Cloak of the Owl... -.- sucks for me... Ohhh Yay! Truffles! O.o And some other crap...

It seems to me like your rewards are based off level. If your level 60, your most likely NOT going to get lvl5 food and water. You may get lv55 food and water or something, but I think its based off level.

I have a story that I need to share too:

Once upon a time there was a me; I went to the darkmoon faire in elywnn at lvl10. I got sayge fortune #27 that started a quest. It wanted me to go to palemane rock (mulgore). I am lvl66 and still have this quest. Yesterday I actually went to palemane rock to get it over with hoping ashbringer or some random epic uber leet crap would come outta the box--I see the vision, I see the stump, its right in front of me, I am opening it, still opening, almost done opening, "#^@%" was my response.

now I don't know about you guys, but do you keep low lvl quest items very long?...it was the stupidist and funniest thing that has ever happened to me. Over a year with the quest and when I can finally turn it in, I need the origional quest item.

i had the quest for eastvale and all i had to do is find a hay stack got a superior health potion a pumkin and a green cloak =]

I think your fortune is dependig on what you choose. If someone gets the fortune and knows what they picked please post it here. I may be getting mixed up with the buff so please correct e if im wrong.

1.6% thats good for a crummy chest and best thing is im 51 and i think i may get it.

I got a Skull Splitting Crossbow (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=13039/arbalète-fendeuse-de-crâne) and a Sage's Cloak of Arcane Wrath (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=6614/cape-de-sage) from the Mysterious Lockbox I just got now.

I'll be posting screenshots soon. o_o;

I got a blue box cream out of it with both handles missing, but it's at least level 66 blue and doesn't have all the pieces, who cares right it was free! I will be hunting these down in the days to come you can be sure of that buster.

i got sayge's fortune #25..my bro told me the quest was a waste of time i told him idc so i go to wailing caverns and belt of the gladiator dropped. i told him im gonna DE it and hes like no send it to my shamman. so i De it and im happy

I got this from the Deadmines quest from Sayge in the Darkmoon Faire.

Box contained (not a locked box) Heavy Leather, Moonberry Juice, Journeyman's Backpack, and one other item.

I got this from the "Your fortune Awaits you..." quest from one of Sayge's fortunes at the Darkmoon Faire.

I was lvl 35 when I got the box but actually levelled before I opened it (Don't know if that has any effect on what you get).

Inside was:

Gloom Reaper of the Boar (a wicked looking 1-H axe, lvl 34)
3 Mana Potion
1 Stormwind Brie
2 Alterac Swiss
