This does may not seem to be a very good trinket, but it has saved me lots of times. Against Broodlord Lashlayer in Blackwing Lair, for instance.

This guy hits slow and HARD, and defense and armor (and stamina) is crucial in this fight. He has delivered Mortal Strikes up to 6000 on me. This piece of trinket makes that number smaller, and makes the healers job easier, but for a limited period of time.

With a Greater stoneshield potion u got a extra 4K armor with tanking gear and buffs you could get about 20K armor

he wont get the bonus. its increased armor for direct item bonuses, not buffs. thats why mark doesnt give 1000+ armor.

Armor bonus from use items like this is not multiplied in druid bear form.

nah, this item is real, we killed hakkar yesterday and the guy that won the heart of hakkar posted the quest rewards for turning in the heart in the raid chat. this item was one of these 3.

This actually does have a level requirement. It is a reward from the quest you get by activating the Heart of Hakkar - which is lvl 58. So this = lvl 58+.

I'd like to point out that any class can use this trinket.

For PvP, I think a Priest could arguably get more use out of this then a Warrior.

Is it possible to use this just before a boss pull and then swapping it out for another trinket while still keeping the armor and def buff?

If that's possible, this is a kick ass trinket, if it cant be done that way, it blows.

Would really like confirmation from ppl who have the trinket.

Right but drav's saying he's going to use healing spells that he can't use within bear form to generate aggro. I'm simply saying how ridiculous that idea is. Even putting on all of those before the fight would be nowhere near enough to hold aggro against a boss in a fight that takes 15 minutes.

It's funny when someone writes, "this only gives me a 5.3% reduction in damage."

If you're already stopping 60% of the damage, which is a pretty common number for warriors starting ZG, then 5% additional means you're stopping 12.5% of the damage you would have otherwise taken.

And that doesn't even take into consideration the extra defense. An extra 1.2% increase in the chance to dodge, parry, and block. You'll also take fewer crits and be simply missed more often. For many warriors, it will put them into the magic land of uncritable (425+ defense). Overall it means ~20% damage reduction at the start, which is nothing to sneeze at given the quick cooldown.

I've often heard of it called an extra shield wall that you can pop twice in a boss fight. That's nice and makes it one of the very best warrior trinkets in the game.

So I notice that there are no cooldown-sharing items listed.

Does this share cooldown with anything?

If not, to me its an easy choice to take as a paladin.

First, I can use it in conjunction with my other epic trinkets at the same time.

Second, with the upcoming change to paladins to make them more able to tank, this will definitely come in handy.

Even if it does share cooldown, it could be very handy...

it bumps your dodge/block/parry stats up by 5-7% per.

this will remain a good trinket even at 70.

i pop it every time it's up.

Like a re-useable Greater Stoneshield Potion +20 Defense. Pretty spectacular for a druid who is already pushing armor cap.... :) ...kinna like a 20-second "Shield Wall" as it were.

Greater Stoneshield Potion and this little sucker = +4000armor (even though its only for 20sec) is imba for Patchwerk, real good if the healers is a little slacky with there gear

I'm guessing the effect lasts for about 20 seconds, and just a wild stab in the dark, the cooldown may be 2 minutes.

Just downed Hakkar and won the heart. Turned in quest and recieved this item on my warrior. The effect lasts 20 seconds with a 2 minute cooldown. When used, the trinket pops a demon armor icon above your head. Not fought anything yet to tell if it makes a big difference, I already am sitting on 401 defense.

Im a very big fan of this trinket, it basically has the effect of halting any damage you take for 10-15 seconds. Extremely handy if the heals are a bit slow in coming for any reason. Use concurrently with SW and LS to really extend your life.

Also use it when solo farming. Makes me near immune to any damage.
