Its best to keep these and the Quiraji Lord Insignias that the bosses drop until 2999/3000 neutral, as that is when you stop getting rep for trash mob and boss kills.

It drops from trash mobs in AQ40 and the quest it gives to you is that you shall turn it in to an NPC just after the first boss in AQ40.

The reward is +1000 reputation with Brood of Nozdormu.

Also note that the stack size is infinite and that the item is not unique. Thus, I suggest saving your artifacts until you're past neutral rep.

I reccomend just putting 6 of them in your bank then just run AQ a few more times. I heard the 1st boss is pretty easy anyways.

they doesnt stack, every artifact takes 1 slot from your bag, but you can have many of them with you and return them when you dont get any more reputation from trashmobs

Heard a rumour about this quest being bugged. If you leave the quest and have many of this quest items inside your bag - they all will disappear...

We got our first artifact to drop last night in AQ off of one of the trash before the Prophet. The post below is correct -- everyone can loot it. The quest gives 1,000 Brood rep and you turn it into the same NPC's who give the set quests after the Prophet. Undertermined if it is repeatable yet.

The quest is repeatable, it works similarly to the Timbermaw Hold totem quests, i.e you can have more then one, but they don't stack. (Remember, you need to right click the artifcat to get the quest!)

Each one gives 1000 rep with the brood, however you should keep as many in your bank and inventory you can until reaching the end of Neatrul (which is when you stop receiving rep from monsters other than bosses in AQ).

From what I gather, if it spawns on a monster, everyone is able to pick it up.

It is repeatable, and they stack. Just take accept the quest, and they stack. Save them for when you're through neutral, waste using them before. Same with the insignias. Stack and dont waste them before you're fully 2999/3000 in neutral towards friendly!
