Incredible trinket, during raids I sometime break 3,000AP with this thing going on my rogue, macro it with bladeflurry and adrenaline rush and you'll see a huge increase in dps.

This is by far the best Melee DPS trinket pre-Naxx, the only trinkets I see exceeding it are Spider's Kisshttps://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=22954 off Anub'Rekhan in Naxx

even now, in BC i would rate this trinket very highly.
As fury or a Rogue i would probally take this trinket over several.
it adds 725AP eventually. thats no small number to sneeze at. It just comes down to its cooldown on how useful it really is

If i read this correct. This trinket gives 65 Attack Power instantly, and then 65 more every 2 sec for 20 seconds, giving an overall Attack Power bonus of 715.

This is a very nice trinket, even post-BC.

This trinket is still pretty nuts. Your final +AP will be 715, which is HUGE! Excellent trinket, especially for rogues who kinda need to start up anyways with builders.

It's actually Gom Jabbar and it's indeed a Dune reference. In Frank Herbert's Dune universe, Gom Jabbar is a device described as "The high-handed enemy; that specific poison needle tipped with meta-cyanide used by Bene Gesserit Proctors in the death-alternative test of human awareness."

It's originally from the Qu'ran, where it is used as "وم جبّار qawm jabbār", or literally "a powerful people".

At the end of the 20 seconds, you will have exactly 715 extra Attack power from this little baby. insane, but remember its only that much for one second.

Bloodthirst warriors are going to love this thing when they slap you in the face with enraged+deathwished+double crusader procced BT madness that scores a 4000 damage crit in your face. With a onehander.

As if having a 1h or 2h weapon matters when you use bloodthirs? No, it doesn't. And you do get 715 AP. It's 65+65*10.

This isn't quite the item from Dune, but it is so close. It's technically a spoonerism, that's when you switch the first letter of the first word and the first letter of the second word.
Pretty neat, there are so many references in this game. It would be even funnier if it was Shai-Hulud the great sand worm, but Ouro works too I suppose >.>

"Ouro" would be a reference to the "Ouroboros", which is the ancient name for the symbol of two snakes swallowing each other's tail in a circle. The word is ancient Greek and means (unsurprisingly) "tail-devourer".

I've an interesting information FOR YOU ALL. If you have the Earth Strike-Trinket, you wuoldn't really need this. Why ? Because when you youse Math, an adds 65 + 130 + 195 + .. + 650, and divides it then through 10, you have the Number of 299 - this is the middle AP-Boost you will get on this Trinket - check it out!

Your Boost is only 19 AP for this. Not more.

The drop chance is probably a lot higher because this was added in 1.11, Ouro only dropped 3 things after 1.10.

Correction: The Gom Jabbar from the first Dune book, is a little box that Paul Atreides is forced to put his hand into, by the Reverend Mother Helen Gaius Mohiam. The box is supposed to test whether Paul is a simple beast or a human. If he is not a human and thereby able to resist the increasing searing pain in his hand, the Reverend Mother will kill him with a poisonous needle held behind his head.

The looks of this item fits ok with the description of the box from the book, and Blizzard cleverly renamed it to Jom Gabbar to avoid any copyright infringements. :)

As a Hunter, I have this and Drake Fang Talisman as my trinkets.

When it gets to the last second, I pop off an Aimed shot for breaking 3.8k crit is the highest so far. (2.5k RAP)

I'm happy. :)

First of all, any hunter out there that have checked if it works with ranged weapons? Due to the AP bug/"working as intended" you never realy know if this kind of AP buff realy works for ranged.

The Gom Jabbar is a fictional device appearing in Frank Herbert's Dune universe. According to the Dune novel, the Gom Jabbar is "The high-handed enemy; that specific poison needle tipped with meta-cyanide used by Bene Gesserit Proctors in the death-alternative test of human awareness". Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam used one to test Paul Atreides just prior to his departure to Arrakis.

The Gom Jabbar is used to kill people who fail the "humanity test". The actual test is carried out with a box that produces pain by nerve induction, causing severe, but strictly mental, pain. Only a human was considered to be able to withstand the urge to take the hand out of the box. Any person who did withdraw their hand was stung with the Gom Jabbar, causing instant death.

I might save dkp to get it, when we get to Ouro (the maker), even if it dosen't apply to ranged AP, just cause it's Dune content ;)
