Seems to be a random world-drop from the looks of things. Been doing a lot of asking around on Korgath, and mainly I've heard them coming off of 68-70 non elites in the Blades Edge Mountains. (Aparrently there are 2 in circulation on my server running anywhere from 2000g-4000g)

Your extremely lucky if you get one of these to drop. And extremely rich if you don't need it. ;)

One of these dropped for me in the Blades Edge Mountains (I think it was a Bloodmaul Skirmisher). I have only heard of one other of these on my server which was on the AH for 800g.

So I think to myself.... wait a minute here; if this drop is so rare and the gem is one of the best casters gems in the game why don't I roll a toon up for JCing?

That is infact what I'm doing... I recon between 70g and 100g a time for these bad-boys will soon see enough gold in my account for the epic flying mount!

I usually hate the pointless bragging posts, but I couldn't resist. I bought this off the AH for 7G yesterday morning. Whoever put it up had no idea what s/he had. I thought about selling it for a long while, but finally decided to go ahead and learn this. If you want one on Vek'nilash send Malcora a tell.

Bought the design off AH on hyjal server for 600 gold. Fairly certain that was a steal.

Note on the gem: I was curious about the proc rate and what an instance is like with this gem equiped. The 5% is pretty close to accurate but the downside is, there isnt a buff or anything that shows that it has proced. Im afraid sometimes im wasting my half spellcast time on an instant spellcast. However, it was still very effective in the instance last night. I would just notice occasionally my incernerate and immolate spells just flew threw there cast time. It was very nice when it would proc a few times in a row. Bottom line, casters have a limited option for meta gems so this would be a viable option since the options are slim. Dont go out of your way to find gear with a meta slot just to equip this gem but if the gear you want has a meta slot this is a good gem to use.

Does this halve the time it takes to channel a spell too? say blizzard or mind flay or tranquility?

Yes, channeled spells are also affected by this meta gem "proc".

Yep, friend of mine proc'ed five Arcane Missles in a row...Gnome on crack FTW.

If you are Arcane spec I highly recommend placing this in your T4 Collar of the Aldor.
