Spirit is good for Priests/Mages, they get a long of regen out of it. However, you may be better off getting mana per 5 second, but it has a use for those classes if you have mana issues and do not like using potions.

This is a weak gem, but at least it is better than vender gems :).

Thats what i ment, I love spirit, but you always get so little of it compared to what you would get if you chose stamina instead. :|

For a caster this is arguably the highest damage gem that you can put in a blue slot to preserve socket bonus. As spirit will get converted to 0.4 or 0.44 damage with imp divine spirit and kings.

Note that epic quality gems from heroics will no more be unique-equipped in 2.4. That just rocks :))

Considering the changes to spirit based mana regeneration in 2.4, and the fact that this gem is no longer "Unique-Equipped", you're looking at one of the best gems you can put into blue sockets for dps casters wich benefit from spirit (i.e. Shadowpriests with Meditation, Moonkins with Intensity and Mages with Arcane Meditation).

I have a lv 67 shadowpriest but have not read up on all things to get the "dark" hybrid class to work at it best yet. I guess best put to use it will be by a shadowpriest, but for longer battles a mage might can have use for spirit to regenerat mana a bit faster. I have a friend that have special weapon to put on while doing the colddown regen.

+Damage and +sprit is reali usefull for a priest ''hybrid'' spec

Talent in sacred + spritbuff give 35% of your spirt in +damage and healing

IS not something most of people want it but this is not ''useless''

Probably a holy DPS/smite priest's gem? +spirit = +damage for them.... Don't see many running heroics though, heh

4. Just name it.. allot of ppl do

if you add this and the infused fire opal you have perfect arcane mage gems lots of damage, int and spi, but anyone cna use em so whatever :)

With the upcoming buff to spirit-based mana regen based on having a high intellect, mages who spec arcane for meditation and use mage armor can get a good bit more mana regen from spirit gens than from mp/5 gems. Given that, this gem will become a good option, particularly since in 2.4 they will no longer be unique-equipped.
