Important later on in the game for a cheap and easy way to get friendly rep with Thorium Brotherhood. These will be able to take you to Friendly with a few hundred. (not including coal and incendosaur scales that also go with quest)

Since post-TBC Thorium Brotherhood rep is fairly useless... I always have a really hard time selling these since they're so unpopular. Just vendor them, imo.

I wouldn't say the Thorium Brotherhood reputation is useless post TBC. Markedly less important perhaps, but not useless. For instance, they still offer https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=19444 at friendly. This is one enchant I'm still very often getting requests for.

You need 480 to go from neutral to friendly, and I have had difficulty finding them, my herbelist alt is only level 15, so it's hard T_T
Maybe I'll try camping the npc -_-

Till then it's money galore, but I don't think that this'll go away soon. The recipies given by the faction quest for this give you epic (EPIC!) items. Those items can be sold for well over 50g each, just because they're epic. Aslo, it's alot easier to get 100-600 kingsblood than it is to go out and kill the right mob 100+ times to get the right drop to get an epic recipie

Every profession has its high points for profit. Most professions have very few high profit items/services. Everyone needs goods and services in the game (mounts, armor, wpns, gear, potions, enchants, etc). You can barter your services and/or trade currency for these goods and services you cannot provide for yourself. It is called an economy; virtual or real, its an economy. If you do not like the price do not buy it, that is your choice. Maybe I should go insult every enchanter who wants more than 5G plus materials for performing a 295-300 enchant on my item... oh yeah, that's going to get them to drive the price down!

Its a reputation quest where you have to leave in like 300 Kingsblood to get Friendly with the Thorium Brotherhood. When you finally are exalted, takes several K of DI Ore and Alot of dark iron residue, and have 300 Blacksmithing, You can smith Epic armour items, weps, etc =). Pretty nice. Though some of the ingridients only drop in MC which is a bit frustrating, but otherwise it would be too easy.

Any suggestions as far as where this herb can be easily located and collected? Is it actually sold by Alliance NPC? If so which ones? Cus I checked the NPC in Stormwind and it seems she stopped selling them, or maybe I was not at the right skill lvl. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can buy it from Alchemy supplier in the Mage District Alchemy shop in Stormwind. She only had one on her last night when I went to buy it from her, and naturally if someone has just bought it from her, she will be out until it respawns on her.

From the drop rates it looks as though most of the drops ("kills") are coming from STV? Is it more common there or are there just more people there?

Is STV the best place to farm for this stuff?

Well IvoryClan... Wetlands is best place for collecting this ingame imo.. another good place is SM graveyard but too bad you can reset it only 5 times =(

if you are collecting this for Thorium Brotherhood, go to the Charred Vale right before Desolace. You will find a lot of this, and while you are there kill everything in sight. Most of the stuff will drop Coal, one of the other requirements to get from 0 (neutral) to Friendly rep.

Wetlands is OK for Kingslbood but I have much more success in SV. In addition to wetlands you might fly down to SV and try that out too. 8-)
