One of my most favourite swords, if you like to take chances in your damage this is the sword for you, if your lucky and get that 200 strength boost you will easy dominate all of the mobs in your path as long as the buff lasts. Although, if you dont like to gamble, you should probably go for another sword in the auction house, but with the strength buff, this sword is legendary, in my eyes.

This sword isn't nearly as "bad" as people make it out to be. It's not gonna one-shot Rag or anything, but at it's level, it's not too bad. It's got built-in Crusader, and what's nice is that the effect stacks with an actual Crusader enchant, giving you massive strength if you catch both at the same time.

It's not worth the prices I usually see it listed for, but I would pay upwards of 40g, 50g for it. It looks cool if nothing else.

With the speed of the thing I chose a 2H fury build, thinking my gear was good enough for it (twinked out warrior from 40-49 bracket).

Boy was I wrong! Sure you can ratchet your DPS to really high levels but you need trinkets and rage and time to click all the buttons, and the mob is almost dead by then, or you're dead in PvP due to the lack of essential abilities like hamstring.

Honestly, if you've got more brains than me just go for the IBS in AV, arms dominates for leveling, and it allows you to do your fair share of PvP

Personally, given the BASE math, I think this weapon is great for its level and a few levels up.
I found mine by luck a year ago, and have been saving it for my paladin ever since. I've calculated a few things into the base of this weapon, given no increases through stats or anything, all raw data.

(112+168)/2/2.6 = 53.8 dps .. This is the base of the weapon
200 Str (Proc) = 57.1 damage added (1 str = 2 attack power)
100 Str (Crusader) = 28.5 damage added
Combined = 85.7 damage added

With Crusader
(140+196)/2/2.6 = 64.6 dps

With Proc
(169+225)/2/2.6 = 75.7 dps

With Crusader + Proc
(197+253)/2/2.6 = 86.5 dps

At that level, even if you believe the procs are very minimally seen, that is still a burst of large quantities of damage added to instant strikes and such in 10 seconds. On my paladin, I'd wager an 86.5 dps weapon at 52 (even if for a very short time) would make Crusader Strike hit very hard, regardless of the fast speed of the weapon. That's not my main concern though. As for me as a Paladin, white damage is sadly most of my gameplay, and this thing would kick out a bunch of good white damage due to its procs if Crusader is applied. Would make grinding very nice, in my opinion.

this sword with crusader is a must for all you paladins out there that crave some decent damage, if crusader and destiny proc thats +300 strength for 8-12 secs, you might get 5 or 6 hits in but you will crit very high

I'm with this question in my head, and I'm gathering money to buy the DESTINY in AH, but the ICED BARBED SPEAR is a quest reward, then I can spend the money that i'm saving for DESTINY to put the CRUSADER ENCHANT on it... so I don't know if I buy DESTINY and wait a long more to catch more money 4 CRUSADER CHANT, or get the ICED BARBED SPEAR and put the CRUSADER CHANT at the same time...

what u guys suggest ???

Also drops off of Manaclaw. An lvl 58 elite dragon in a cave in Mazthoril in Winterspring. The fight wasn't too hard for a BM hunter. The dragon has 17k hp and does a frost attack. Very easy to take down. He does have a partial immunity to arcane spells.

I'm not too sure about that. By level 52 a Retadin will have enough talent points to learn Crusader Strike. That ability, and Seal of Command, are dependent on slow weapon speed for maximum damage. Destiny, with 2.60 weapon speed, is one of the fastest 2-handed weapons you'll find. By all means buy one of these and slap Crusader on it if you have the gold (keeping in mind that by level 60, you'll find greens in Outland that make this thing obsolete). Otherwise, hold out for a slow, hard-hitting blue, or even a green.

I just picked this up for my 54 Prot Pally, for questing/grinding/killingfaster. I thought that JoW or JoL w/ SoC would be my best option for this weapon, but it isn't. Atleast not for me.

I have almost 200str and no Agi to speak of, dps set, and I was only able to do 100dps normal, and 150 ish when it proced.

however, JoC/SoR was yielding 150-180dps, and 200+ when it proced. which is a big improvement over the 50-75dps that i do w/ my tanking gear on. but with 8k armor at 54, you can't go wrong.

I plan on putting crusader on it, just couldn't find any righteous orbs, and can't solo Lstrat W/ my Spriest. I'm sure it will be much better after that.

Well i kinda changed my mind lol =) that comment was while i was still green. Yeah its too fast.. Not worth getting it. Get Blade of Misfortune. Its cheaper and better. Although if you are lucky.. This might be good lol. Proc right after proc.

I'd love to get this on my Prot-Pala for killing single mobs.

This item is good for that BECAUSE of the speed since a Prot. Paladin probably has Reckoning and with it procing you'll get 3 extra attacks within the next 10 secs = nice holy damage.

Personally I have specced Imp. SoR so I can do better damage with a two-hander as well.

Human, MS Warrior Level 60. If acquired at level 52 with the crusader enchant, adding in Sword Specialization and the racial traits for humans and sword. I have to tell you, with the speed of the weapon, it procs so much in a battle (especially in Berserker Stance, with Whirlwind strike) I have had DPS like nothing I have seen. This sword is ideal for leveling, especially if grinding. Ice Barbed Spear is better for Elite mobs due to stat buffs and crits off of Heroic strike. Only slightly mind you. Add in elixirs like the one the moonkin in Winterspring drop on you and a nice Diamond Flask Trinket. You can do wondrous things with this sword. The reason the value is sort of low for an epic is it fairly easily drops, both on the world and in Dungeons; and the fact it is a very specific weapon for only a couple of classes at best. I have used it from 52 until 59 when some of the Greens from Outlands started to take over in my weapon locker. This thing is a meat grinder, an absolute terror in BG between 52-59 in Arathi Basin.

Base DPS is 53.8, when it procs it gives you +200STR,
that means +400 attack power which converts into an additional 28.57dps according to blizzard.
In total that gives you base dps of 82.37 during the 10s you got that strength. So when it procs it have really good DPS, then add crusader enchant on this and you get even more DPS. With both of the procs you get +300STR which mean you have a base DPS of 96.65. Though im not sure of how often you can get both the sword and the enchant to proc at the same time.

im an ms warrior i have it i loveit. It procs atleast once a fight and with ms ive nailed crits for almost 1.2k on 55+ mobs with ms my attack power sky rockets to 1.2k with battle shout and enrage it is huge damage and fast. And with sword spec you have a 6% chance to strike again which does proc off instant attacks as well. Going to test it against other swords soon and see how they perform.

I dont get it. Why is it that every item, wether it be weapons or armor, is always said to be better for the Paladin. Forget that. +300 strength (with crusader of course), what warrior in his right mind wouldnt want that? But of course everyone says its for the Paladin. So what is the ideal weapon for the warrior? Say it, i dare you.....2h axe? Yeah right, show me an axe that has +300 and i will say sure, your right. We are strength junkies. Let me guess, The Untamed Blade is for Paladins too, right?

I have Destiny (w/crusader) on my Fury spec'd Warrior........its the bizatch! What other weapon is going to give you 200+dps @ level 52 (or 53, cant remember)?

I'm not say this to have people come back with harsh comments. But I am gettin so sick of this Pali 'vs' Warrior garbage. Its great for both of us.

Crusader works very well on Destiny. When destiny isnt giving you the +200, Crusader definately is active. I would have to say that if you were to kill 5 things, Crusader and Destiny would probably go off at the same time once. Recently I have put away Destiny and went back to 1hander w/shield. I miss Destiny very much and cant wait to start raiding again so I can stop being MT.

This is on a completely different topic and probably isnt the right thread to ask, but......what is the best one handed sword/axe/mace for a fury warrior? Right now i am still using Thrash Blade, ROFL, at level 59. I love it, im hoping one day Ironfoe might fall into my hands, but that is probably just a dream.

If Crusader and the weapon proc at the same time you've effectively been giveen 600 attack power which translates to an extra 42 DPS, making the base weapon DPS 92.6.

Now, since that patch that changed damage calulation from being based on weapon speed to a flate rate for 2Hrs (3.3) this weapon looks WAY more attractive. Multiply 3.3 by the DPS given by both procs and you're swinging for an average of 303 damage every 2.6 seconds! This isnt even factoring in the bonus from Heroic Strike. I don't know if my math is bad or if people are living in the past or what but this weapon looks badass to me.

This thing procs alot if your in fury. Seems like it procs more if you do more dps. I had deathwish on and critted,every time i crit it went off. and did that 4 times to a shammy =) When i dont crit, and have no deathwish, it tends to go off once a battle at least.

Its a fairly Decent sword, DPS is good, Proc is great and activates awsome, but the crits arent all that good. I definatly still say its my weapon of choice, but I might change my Mind after I've actually used my Corruption against an elite of 60. and just a few more skill in Swordsmithing, and I can make Arcanite Champion. Its Proc isnt as good, but i hear its Crits are insane! With Crusader on Either Destiny, or Arcanite Champion, you would be a god! With Crusader, I have to say Destiny would be better, but alone, or with any other enchant, Acanite Champion would rule over it.

the extra dmg you get when it procs is godlike, and if you get the crusader enchant on it at the same time, you got about 300 extra strength all the time.
And you can have arms spec with this sword without any problems, i have 30/10/11 and it works perfect!

This sword is readily available as 2 or 3 area always up for sale on the Auction House.

Price on my server is anywhere from 130g to 450g, i got mine for around 150g and would recommend to anyone if you have the cash or get it as it will carry you from 52 to 60 until you can get into the MC/BWL/ZG gear.

It didn't have a buyout set and started at 90g with medium time left. Lately, I've seen buyouts of around 125g and there have been a ton of them for sale over the past few days. Right when it changed from medium to short the price shot up from 90g to 110g. About twenty minutes after the change, I put in my bid at 115g. Ten very tense minutes later, Destiny was mine.

When my paladin hits 52 (half a level from now), I'm going to go into battlegrounds and teach the horde humility.

On my server I'm a 60 MS Warrior currently using IBS, and I'm halfway considering buying one of these because the Warrior WoW boards have pretty much frightened anyone to use this rather good weapon.

No, it's not Askandi or Untamed or anything like that, but you're not intended to be using this weapon during that time in your end-game; there's a certain point at which you'll have the resources to replace it and undoubtedly you will. Don't talk about this weapon like it's the end-all, but more think of it as one of the tools on the road to get to where you want to be. Plus, I think that a Proc + Sword Spec extra attack would be ouchies, then burn the generated rage off in a MS. 3 hits possible without even burning off Whirlwind almost instantly.

Oh, and this is an extremely twinkable weapon because its proc is a duration, not a number of strikes. Blizz has made this movement towards limiting many Warrior things (items and skills) to X duration OR # of attacks, but a proc for this is basically 10 seconds to pop everything in the world and burn rage. I type too much.

I love this wep...I got it with crusader and about every fight either one procs or Both do at the same time...Iv had the destiny proc 5 times in an row per hit! its crazy when i do 1.4k Ms's easily!

I need to know whether this is better than Ice Barbed Spear for an Arms MS warrior. I've been seeing this in the AH for around 60g, which looks like a steal. I'm going to put Crusader on the one I'll use.

I like my crit rate w/ Poleaxe Spec and Cruelty, but this proc looks sick, as does Sword Spec.

Please I need advice deciding which to use.

I know this has been said before, but it deserves repeating. Folks... this is a great weapon. Do you like to almost double your DPS? Well I do. My level 52 ret pally has this with Crusader enchanted. It's great when I have 3 procs of Vengeance and then Destiny and Crusader both proc too.

It's not a sword at that point. It's an industrial wrecking ball smashing your grandma's house into splinters.

I like how the 50 hunter, Jenseny, is saying that even though he/she could sell this and make a cool 200g towards epic mount, that a HUNTER is going to use this, I mean give me a break, no stamina, no agility, no passive strength, just a MELEE proc of +200 strength, gosh that hunter cant play WoW

Judging by all the Paladin comments, it must be the Alliance that's driven the median price on this up so high.

On Ner'zhul, Horde side, this thing sells for about 100 to 150G, and even then it can be difficult to find a buyer.

Just got this sword a week ago on windrunner for 115g. Great weapon for a spell damage pally. Irregular proc, but seems to proc every 15 swings or so for me. I'm about to put a crusader on it and will tell you if it stacks.

Just before I left this morning I saw it on the AH for 50G bid and "Short" time left. I had just bought Gut Ripper 50G and sold it double, so I got high hopes for merchanting this one as well. Lots of misinformation floating around in this thread. First off, it doesnt proc 1 out of 5 hits. The proc rate is 1.5 times a minute, same with crusader, so you can get on average, 3 procs of str improvements a minute, so about every 7-8 swings of this sword, you will have a strength increase. I would say on average once every 4 - 5 minutes both of the enchants proc at the same time, and for some reason they always seem to proc at the same time when I crit, so when you throw in BoK, Vengeace, Crusader, and Destiny, you're hitting for 450 - 600 a swing for a few seconds which is just ridicules when SoC procs at that time too.

I have this sword with crusader enchant, on a 14/0/37 build, it does LOTS of damage. I can easily pull agro from mobs on to me and keep it off the mages and sometimes even rogues, most warriors are protection spec on my server, but in the non mc+ instances, you'll usually dont have to worry about pulling agro from the warriors unless you're 5 manning an instance. I've used this from lvl 52 - 60, and it is STILL a viable weapon in strat, scholo, and even ubrs. You'll want to most likely have different gear for anything higher.

Mine dropped from a IF Auctioneer for 125G ( steal ) and I got the crusader enchant for 100G. I would DEFINATLY get this at lvl 52 if you can as it will last you a long time.

I am lvl 60 now, but I do not have an updated screenshot. I usually keep my sword sharpened with a dense stone. 55 Paladin with Imperial Kit, +9 str bracers, I dont remember what was on gloves, +7 agility boots, and +3 stats chest.

Anonymoo the best weapon in the game that i have seen is "Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros", maybe Destiny might be the best for lvls 52-55 but apart from that, there is much much better. If you wanna farm for this item then go for it, i wouldnt bother, just wait for End game runs guys, you wont get to use the weapon enough for the effort you will be putting in.

The swords proc is unstabile ,can proc very often or pretty much never ,the speed is way to fast for a decent mortal strike weapon ,and rather the same 2h fury ,the bloodthirst aint that high really even when crusader procs to;(

Yep, it stacks. Crusader procs much more than the sword does but when they both proc, hit for more than double than normal! Really worth its value when you put a crusader on it.

Dont waste yalls $ on this guys-this goes for 100g on my server. Its way to fast for an arms warrior and it doesnt proc fast im told. Do AV and get IBS and slap +9 on it or w/e u want and its better than this and hits harder(plus it free)maybe if ur full of money and u wanna see how high u can get ur AP up to and look stupid-then buy this-no stats-hits for crap unless it proc-which i hear isnt very often and is to fast for arms or w/e warrior. Couldnt care less if a pally had-cause i hate pallies but dont waste ur time and money

Warriors, grab yourself a destiny+crusader and a 31/20 fury/arms 2h-build, and voila, your damage outmaxes the entire MC raid.

Get reckleness and man it will hurt...and you can make sure it will "hurt" every 30min :)

I know there are better items...i know IBS is nice for warriors...but so what?That doesnt mean the sword is sucky...

On Bronzebeard Server nearly Every lvl 60 Paladin has this. I'm talking over 75% of our Paladins have this weapon Destiny.

As for Warriors, No this is not a Warrior weapon. Do not be fooled by the "purple" epic status and the DPS. This weapon will actually gimp a MS warrior.

The 3 key factors that this is not a MS Warrior weapon are :

- Max Damage Output
- Weapon Speed
- Talents do not add 5% crit to Swords.

This sword is the sh!t for paladins. I currently have this sword with Crusader enchant and when it procs Crusader + Sword Proc + Seal of Command the damage is ridiculous. Great for retribution paladins. Also has a cool animation when it procs.

This blades worth no more then like 50gold...

It drops way to often. Only in our guild I & my mate have it + i've seen 2 more on our realm.

With that comes the fact that the Ice Bared Spear from to Korrak Quest on Alterac Valley is almost as good as this one.

It's more like a rare instead of an epic...

BT = 45% damage of your AP

therefore this weapon's proc will add 180 damage onto your BT before armour and important fury warrior buffs like enrage and death wish

factor in some other stuff like Battle shout, Diamond flask, Orc racial, Base AP, Strength from items, strength totem... crusader perhaps? i think we know where this is going

one-shotted frost mage anyone? goes well with a nice merlot...

and it has the added benefit of being a 2h weapon so much fewer annoying misses!

Get a high dmg weapon, like the axe from scholo or blackhand doom saw or an arc reaper.

Destiny is garbage, i got one used it for about 2 weeks and vendored it ^^

I happen to agree in PVP u want a LOT of high end damage and the 5% in Axe Crit we can get with Axe Specialization, but Axes and Maces are SLOW in AVERAGE play compared to swords and I guess its a matter of preference vs normal mobs.

For example, All warriors should have MORE THAN 1 Weapon and have a Shield(parties). You dont want a MS War tanking in UBRS when u can get a Protect spec War out there, but in a PVP situation, the Protect War is pretty much useless for damaging the other team. The only thing we can do is just take the hits for a while while not Contributing to the PvP in the best way possible-fast damage.
We are not Rogues but...with an ARC Reaper and Overpower or Retaliation + 5% extra Crit MS, heh, can u say dead Rogue.

Dont rely on the proc of a weapon like Destiny either, yes if the sword procs its damage becomes the highest or near the highest in the game but a good Rogue wont give u that opportunity to stay in the fight long enough to get it to proc.

Arc Reaper(expensive) or Doomsaw(more realistic) will pwn as with Mortal Strike war b/c the LONG hit times 3.2-3.8 mean little when u can automatically shoot off Retaliation and Overpower for auto crit hits about 20% (normal) or 50% with overpower (2 points in overpower).

i got this in my first scholo run as a brand new fresh 60 warrior.. did prety good, I always used this over IBS.. bloothirst hits would be huge :D
well i dont use it anymore, my 1h axe has more dps lol

i bought this when i was lvl 50, bought it for 250-300g i guess.. and when hitted lvl 52 used it to lvl 60, enchanted for it crusader when i was lvl 57 or 58.. its pretty cool weapon with crusa enchant, or without too :> i can say it has served me well.. :> and yea im pally :S

I hate when people see a weapon and say:" Oh this is a good waepon for (exampel) a hunter."
But this is really a paladin weapon.

I've been looking for this sword anytime I was in an AH from lvl 50, but i couldnt afford it then, coz it cost ~180 g.
BUT NOW, i found a guy, who was selling it for 140 and i bought it from him. I am so happy to have this swordy:)

My only question is: what is the proc rate/chance of Destiny? I guess it'd be too tough if it procced every 2 mins...
Anyone who has it plz tell me! i'm very interested!

destiny is one of the best weapons in this game. it procs around 1 in 5 hits this will add about 20 damage a sec becoming 73.8dps best weapon i seen yet

Well gotta review my vision of yesterday,

I had the chance to test it for real yesterday when soloing. This thing procs like crazy man. Jeses. & mostly I start criting or procing my Seal of Command when this thing activates...

Like all people say here... Uber Paladin weapon.

Real glad I went need & not kept my "Ice Barbed Spear".

speed is better than power in this bc with speed you could proc a lot more i dont know why people say its not that great of a weapon. you might hear people say it only procs 1-5 times a battle the reason why people say that is that battles dont last very long with this weapon 10-20 seconds

I'm giving this weapon a 9 out of 10.

Positives: Procs a lot
good dps for lvl
+200 str 400 attack power
adds a bonus when you proc with it if
you pay attention you can see that
it will add another 50 attack power
LEVEL 52 WEAPON

Negitives: even though this procs a lot it wont
proc every hit.
it could have better max damage

So there you have it Destiny 9 out of 10. Really very good weapon.

Got it at lvl 58 from another player for 110 G and a custom made Blight. I am so happy with it that i wouldn't change it for anything else. I am going to get Crusader on it soon. I have an advice for the lvl 60 Warlocks :) : Never attack a Holy Paladin that has a Destiny, even if he is lvl 58.

If you're an MS warrior, Arcanite Reaper 4tw, not this crap.

If you're fury and for some reason, don't have a couple of good 1h'rs, then this is a good alternative.

Not all warriors are MS warriors, if a warrior does use this he should be fury. This weapon also has mega high rage generation when it procs.

Got Destiny a few days ago. dropped from a trash mob in LBRS from an assassin i think. Im a defensive spec warrior but generaly use 2Her's when soloing. This is just as good for a warrior as any other class that could and would use it :) Cant wait to get crusader enchant for it. Best crit with this so far - 673, 4151 execute pre-crusader.

I found this sword in UD STRAT and won the roll. I'm a 32/21/0 warrior. I recently put a crusader on this badboy and now it stacks! The dmg output per hit is slightly less then my Arcanite Champ but since this badboy stacks I get more dmg output when it procs and with my 5% gear to crit it practically procs each time a fight someone! I still do just as good with my Destiny as I do with my Arcanite champ atm but when I get my lvl60 epic 2 hander I will not need either of them anymore :)

This was not selling either in Trade or the Auction House. I was losing money putting it up in the AH (deposit prices adding up) so I decided to disenchant it. I got 1 Cristal de nexus! instead of the 2-4 Grand éclat brillant listed here on the "Disenchanting" tab.
