This has the same cooking skill as Rockscale Cod (175). However the cod will turn green around 210 while this trout will remain yellow past 225. So cook your cod before your trout :)

My favorite place to fish for them is in the small lake at Whitebark Village in Arathi Highlands and in the northern parts of Stranglethorn Vale close to the Nazferiti lake. Has about 65% chance to cath these fish in these places according to thottbot. Enjoy your fishing!

The best place and nice and safe is Nessingway's camp in Stranglethorn, there is a small pier at the camp with occasional Greater sagefish school slso.
The catch rate is very high for the Mithril Trout.

the lakes near outside Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands are great for them. I caught 60 in about 30 minutes

I pulled about 20 of these out of the river in stranglethorn vale. very good drop rate.

I fished for these in Tidefury Cove (Dustwallow Marsh) next to Nat Pagle. (Coords: 58/61) Caught 25 fish - 17 Mithril Head Trout & 8 Bristle Whisker Catfish. 67% drop rate.

Darrowmere lake in WP pulled so many came looking for a recipe. Actually fishing for nightfin which drop way less but good way to skill up between these two fish
