Battle for Azeroth: Stormwind and Orgrimmar Changes
07/11/2017 à 14:20
Stormwind and Orgrimmar changed during the Cataclysm and in World of Warcraft's next expansion, Battle for Azeroth, it seems that these capital cities may undergo some minor changes with new buildings. RedShirtGuy found two new buildings, one in each capital city in the Battle for Azeroth demo at BlizzCon 2017.
Possible Spoiler Warning
RedShirtGuy's writeup on Blizzplanet
for noticing the changes and summarizing all the information.
Here's some quotes from the article, but you should check out the
for images as well.
For the most part, Stormwind and Orgrimmar were identical to their live versions, except for these two new areas. Each was called the “Stormwind/Orgrimmar Embassy” and was made entirely of garrison art assets. There was a single new type of building in the Stormwind Embassy which resembled a cross between a farmhouse and barracks, my guess would be that it’s from the new Warfront feature.
What was really interesting were the NPCs located inside the barracks and town hall. In each, all the respective faction leaders had gathered, along with some very intriguing additions. The Orgrimmar Embassy’s leaders were Sylvanas Windrunner, Varok Saurfang, Baine Bloodhoof, Lady Liadrin, Rokhan, Lor’themar Theron, Trade Prince Gallywix, Ji Firepaw, Eitrigg, and Nathanos Blightcaller. Saurfang, Baine, and Nathanos all had brand new models.
The Stormwind Embassy’s presence consisted of Anduin Wrynn, Turalyon, Alleria Windrunner, Tyrande Whisperwind, Velen, Genn Greymane, High Tinker Mekkatorque, Muradin Bronzebeard, Aysa Cloudsinger, and… Wrathion.
In each Town Hall, the faction leaders are discussing recruiting the
new allied races
and explaining the lore behind each one. Players would then be able to choose which race they want to go after first.
The ones that were mentioned in the demo were:
Dark Iron Dwarves and Zandalari Trolls were not mentioned. Make sure to check out the specifics behind each race in
the full article.
