If you have been doing your World Bosses regularly, you should have already unlocked

Darkmoon Faire
The Darkmoon Faire starts Sunday January 1st and is here for the week. From transmog to professions, we have you covered in the
Comprehensive Darkmoon Faire Guide
.
There are Legion recipes, toys, mounts, pets, and transmog options you can only get at the Darkmoon Faire. In addition to mounts, pets, toys, and transmog, the Darkmoon Faire offers valuable reputation buffs:
Haut-de-forme de Sombrelune
and
WOUHOU !
. These do not stack; each increases experience and reputation by 10% for an hour.
Make sure you have a reputation buff on when completing Legion World Quests, and Emissary Quests, clicking on Withered Army Training reputation tablets. You'll need six reputations at Revered (
Diplomate des îles Brisées
) for
Guide des îles Brisées, première partie
and Nightfallen Exalted for
Class Hall Armor Set
shoulders. We also have a new guide to
Making the Most of Holiday Reputation Buffs
if you are looking for additional factions worth gaining reputation with.
The Darkmoon Faire is also a great way to boost your professions. There are quests which grant +5 skillups (great if you're struggling to hit 800), Legion Inscription recipes for higher ranks of crafting Darkmoon Faire cards, and
Crocs-lames de Sombrelune
which provide fishing skillups and can be turned in for recipes and pets.
If you are set on professions, you can fish up 500
Crocs-lames de Sombrelune
now for the
Raie des eaux sombres
mount, sold by
Galissa Rosée-de-Soleil
.
Coming Soon...
According to past datamining,
Diablo's 20th Anniversary Celebration
should start on January 4th! We have datamined a lot of updates:
: The event is scheduled to run from January 4th through 11th, according to datamining.
Tome diabolique vierge
: The Diabolic Tome may be a reference to the Tomes in which the game lore of D1 and D2 were written in game.
Guitare à douze cordes
: The Twelve String guitar plays the New Tristram music from D3.
Pierre de Jordanie
: The Stone of Jordan is a reference to the infamous ring of the same name. In Diablo 2, this ring was a type of currency - you could trade several Stones to another player for a higher end item. References to the Stone of Jordan have been around for a long time in WoW:
Bâton de Jordan
,
Echarpe de Jordan
,
Grand bâton de Jordan
.
Sacoche horadrique
: The Horadric Satchel shares an icon with the Horadric Cube, a D2 item enhancement item.
Parchemin de Portail de ville
and
Tome de Portail de retour en ville
: Scroll of Town Portal/Tome of Town Portal are related to the former Teleportation items in D1 and D2, and the Town Portal spell in the Diablo games which return you to your home town., It is a reference also to the Tome in which you kept your Town Portal Scrolls. One of the reasons this item was so iconic was that the Secret Cow Level could only be reached in Diablo II by beating a difficulty of the game for the first time and then combining the Tome of Town Portal with Wirt's Leg inside the Horadric Cube. You may want to dig up your
Lampe des mers du Sud
for this event! (Thanks to Wowhead user Dragon729 for this comment)
Grand charme du vaillant
,
Grand charme de dextérité
,
Grand charme de force
,
Petit charme d'inertie
,
Petit charme de vie
, and
Grand charme du serpent
: These mimic the charms you carried around in Diablo 2 to buff your character, but were not equipped and took up an inventory slot. It looks like these are not a consumable or equippable - perhaps they function similarly.
Treasure goblin type mobs include the Rare Elite
Gobelin au trésor
and Rare
Amasseur langue-de-wyrm
. During the Legion Alpha, these worked quite similar to Treasure Goblins in Diablo; they tried to run away, channel
Portail d’évasion
, and continually gave currency (
Pièces du sanctuaire
).
Due to the interaction of some of these items, it seems like we'll be collecting town portal scrolls to make a toy. The existence of a Stone of Jordan also seems to indicate a Diablo-related vendor to whom you can turn them in, possibly for the Guitar toy and the bag.
