I recommend you take that path - has the least number of ogres (and always get yr back against a rock when you fight the Brutes as they will toss you).

When you look at the cave at the TOP of Dread Maul Rock (there are 3 caves) - go to your right and look down to find the Elder.

Theres a bridge on 76,38 venture through there, at first I tried to walk around the mountain confused as hell.

Thanks Luclaire I too struggled before I read your post re the bridge as I hadn't quested in this area.

Follow the path and it's a breeze - did it on my 45 warrior riding in and only had to fight 1 mob when i reached the elder.

Having some trouble locating this one, is it up by the altar on the top or somewhere around the outside fringe of the rock?
