Noticed him while flying around the manaforge and decided to kill him. Super easy to solo, only about 10k health, and I got the Illidari Cloak of the Monkey, 21 agi 33 sta.

If you see him, make sure to take him out. I just earned a quick 50g from selling that cloak. =D

Saw him in Trelleum Mine. Solo'd him as a protection warrior with about half health at the start of the fight and finished with 10%.

Does arcane bolts which hit me for around 300 and casts Slow.

Dropped of the Invoker cloak.

I was doing my scyers quests two nights agao when I noticed the chief engineer was spawned, He dropped me an illidari cloak of the elder, I managed to sell the cloak for 60g

It's 5 A.M. on Arathor server got him while doing a quest, took him down along with 2 arcanists. Dropped the Cloak of Strength havn't made it to the AH yet to sell and see how much it's going for on this server. Happy Hunting LilOpie 70 Warrior

Question: For those of you that have killed him, does he pat only outside the forges, or also in them? I am trying to farm him for the shadow wrath cape for my shadow priest, but my hunter (who could track him) is not lvl 70 yet. Is he visible from the outside only, or inside as well?

I've killed this guy twice.
Always drops a Blue cape with random stats
I found him once at Duro, dropped a cape of agility (33agil).
And once at Coruu, dropped a cape of fire protection (33 stam, 21 FR).

Just got the "of the beast" version off him. Pity he didn't drop the staff he had, it was one of the coolest looking staves I have seen in the game and apparently unique to him.

Been trying to two days now, have my 70 Hunter camped at one camp checking and flying to all the camps.

yes they are trackable yet they spawns like once in 6-12-24 hour not sure of exact timer.

the way to notice this guy is that he has this huge golden key looking staff on his back. cant miss it as not a single mob has sametype. also he is male elf.

Not very tough as far as rares go, but you get what you earn. Easily soloable as a 68 healing shaman, though he seemed to dispell my earth elemental totem. Now to find an enchanter to DE it...

I regularly visit the Ara and Ultris mines, but this was the first time I've ever seen him literally inside the mine at Ara... Quite a nice day for me, 2 Rich Adamantite veins inside the mine I was going in for, and then a rare mob spawn to boot.

Easy to solo, he just hits a little hard with his magic.

I was in the mine underneath Manaforge Ara doing the quest to kill the foreman there.

After I killed Overmaster Grindgarr for the quest I was sat down getting health & mana back. As I was about to walk away this guy appeared from behind the Overmaster. Easily soloed as a level 70 shaman.

Dropped Illidari Cloak of the Eagle (70 Armour +21 INT +33 STA) & an Arcane Tome.

I don't know if killing the Overmaster triggered him to spawn or whether it was pure luck that he spawned just after I had killed him. I guess maybe there is a small chance of him spawning when the Overmaster is downed as he literally spawned 10 seconds after I killed him. I originally thought he was going to come & rez him & I would have to kill the both of them or that maybe killing him would start another quest.

Found him at 59.63, he dropped Illidari Cloak of the Bandit (17 agi, 26 sta, 34 ap)for me and I'm one happy rogue now :D.
