Galgann Firehammer can be quite a challange.

He has to adds which will go down quite fast if you focus DPS one at the time. A good strategy is to get both the adds down first and then kill Galgann. He has a quite nasty fire attack, and does somewhat heavy damage.

Some people far this guy for the gun, and if you want to try that, you should probably use the back door entrance to Uldaman.

This guy used to be a target of level 60 solo farmers, especially enchanters that would kill him repeatedly, disenchant the loots and put the shards/essences/dusts on the AH.

Kill all the other alts in the room (make sure they dont run in fear towards him or this will make things complicated)
If you have 2 tanks send one to each of the sides and have a dps focus on him
If your a hunter and have one tank have the tank attack on and your pet attack the other, have the healer heal your pet while you are also casting "mend pet" and you focus on the main (same for a lock in place of the hunter)
If you have one tank and no lock or hunter just do something to keep one of the sides to prevent him from attacking )

Soloed as a level 46 Troll hunter, pretty easy. Kill the adds, feign death and regen fully. Then just nuke him. It's as simple as that. Got the gun :D

Remember to do drain his mana, 2 viper stings are enough to get him to 0%

I just attempted this guy for the cloak, and 5 out of 6 runs got the Flameseer Mantle. The first run I got the cloak on a different character, but then five runs on another character and got the Mantle every time. At that point the instance wouldn't let me back in, but the drop rate was really disappointing.

Found great way to farm. Requires one level 70. Takes only 3-4 minutes if done correctly.
1) Take 70 (the runner) and whoever wants the drop (the runnee) in the back door of ulda. Just keep the runnee at the little room just in the back door.
2) Use the 70 to kill the elemental. Run through to Galgann without killing anything, have to play a fun little game i call "Avoid the bats"
3) Once you get their pull him. Run back to the room where the runnee is and kill him there. Should only have aggroed around 6-7 dwarves or some bats if you lost the game i mention above.

Just want to point out something that I mention to my group every time and it gets ignored and we usually wipe or almost wipe:

All the humanoids other than Galgann and his two adds RUN. They WILL aggro Galgann unless they're pulled back. This can be frustrating as a healer if you say 'Make sure you pull the mobs back, they run and aggro', then you've healed for around 7-8 humanoids so are at at least half mana, then they aggro boss ;)

Out of the last 6 runs, five times I was ignored and at least 1 person in the group died...and if we had 2/3 clothie dps, we usually entirely wiped.

Ill agree, not to hard. We made it with a group of 4 , half an hour ago. lvl 40-45.

Go in the back entrance of Uldeman, go in past a few mobs and some scorpions and then stay to the left. Watch out for the two mages that use the spell bomb (don't use anything magical, not even pet claw/growl/bite) and the boss is right there. Pretty easy with a group of 4 level 48+, we killed him 6 times to get the gun.

It is actually lvl ?; Cosmos and other programs like it sets the lvl to 500 in case of a mob being lvl ?--- lvl 500 is actually just Blizzards way of saying that they do not wish to state lvl. This is the same with the NPC bosses in the capitals.

A lvl 500 can be much more easy to beat than a lvl 60 mob. Galgann Firehammer for instance is, as your may hear, rather easy to beat. If he was "really" lvl 500, it would be impossible.

A lvl 60 priest (shadow or disc) can solo this guy. shadow nukes with vampiric embrance, disc heals and wands him to death. i also heard that warris can solo him by rushing in, killing him, killing adds, then go out (1500 life left). You can get there easily through the backdoor, and wont aggro any mobs on the way to him if you're clever :).

Level 60 hunter can solo him fine... about the adds - i can kill them too but to much hassle, just FD after fight

Lvl 60 rogue can solo too, Sap one of companion, beat #$%^ out of Galgann, then vanish. Then sap one again, kill other and finish other when sap breaks, so that you can loot all three.

lvl 60 Shaman, resto-specced.
Killed him without too much trouble.
I did use a mana pot, but that was probably more me being over-cautious than anything.
Only dropped one of the guns, which made it a waste of time.

cath drops much better things then this why dint they make this guy worth the while?
dint make it in a bit lower group and got some nice xp but im doubting to go for the finish here cause all these weapons suck..

What is his mace proc? for a dual-mace rogue woudl this be good? 100+ fire dmg proc sounds nice considering that rogues hit so fast. If anyone has info on proc %, please post.

Galgann is a bit of a pain, but we managed to take him out with 3 level 41s on the Azgalor server.

(Protection Pally, Combat Rogue, Restoration Druid)

He is very beatable. We took out the two easier mobs first, then went for Galgann. I backed off whenever his fire AOE did me in (Rogue) and the pally kept tanking until the druid could restore me enough. We beat him very easily once the two henchmen were gone.

He dropped the fireblaster... (i won it :P)

Felhunter Offanks the adds, you get him to about 7%, Felhunter dies, you finish Galgann, loot, and die.

i've seen a video of lvl 60 lock doing this with soul link and his voidwalker out. killed him then ran out with half health (didnt bother with adds) and voidwalker wasnt even down to half health. definitely doable

Ia heard hes a great sourse of money so went to try with my 60 resto druid.

I had the problem of runners all over the room so I had to kill not only him and the 2 adds, but all of them in the room!

Was quite hard fight, but doable..
I guess druids rock ^^

Now if I only was an enchanter...

I got a lvl49 hunter,and was soloing him since lvl48 to get the gun . but he only drops the cloak and hammer

I often solo this guy with my 60 mid geared fury warrior. Sometimes I need a superior healing potion, but i can just get firehammer down, fear the adds and run out of the instance. Most of the time with 30% left.

in reply to the post "epic?", alot of bosses drop epics. they are random world drops so you hav a miniscule chance of getting it. for example herod in SM arms can drop fiery war axe, some epic bow, staff of jordan ect. these hav a 0.000000000000001%* chance of dropping so good luck trying..

Is there anything that drops in here that would be good for a lock. I have looked through most of it and I haven't seen anything worth it for me to keep running this instance. Good xp and coinage but thats it. Is this updated? SM and RFD have way better drops.

managed to solo him + one add. (Nuked one, then feigned death, revived pet, and ready for the boss and only one add remaining)
Killed add first, then it was just an easy heal and shoot, fight :D Easier with Gift of naaru, ofc :P

He is in Dig site 3 which is near the end of Uldaman.

LOCATION:

1) When entering the "Map Chamber" proceed through the tunnels.

2) always take the left passage.

3) he is about 3 left turns in a small nook guarded by 2

guarded by 2 lvl 38 elites, he is lvl 40.

Hi, I soloed him and his two friends whit my Shaman 59 without shaman's set. I did it with a 2H weapon.

It's easy if you do this:

-Put Grace of air totem and Strength totem
-Use Chain lightning
-Use fast Narute's Swiftness
-Use Chain lightning again
-Focus Boss' friends
-Focus Boss
-Windfury do the rest :)

This guy is a chump. Me (60 Undead Rogue) and a 49 Troll rogue took him and his 2 companions down without any problems. Had to burn evasive if we didn't sap the 2 mobs on each side of him but other than that it's a straight up fight. I would put his difficulty around a 53 Elite, but he was pretty easy even then.

Yeah shadow priests can solo him easy. I'll get the loot and run, then use enchantrix and auctioneer to see whether it's more profitable just to vendor or shard.

so far im 1/4 for that gun and the time it has dropped.... another hunter out rolled me by 20 I WAS SO PI$$ED OFF I cursed for the rest of Ulda, lol anyway i think im gonna do ulda till i get this hehe, its an awsome gun can take u to 50 im sure(slap a good scope on it tada) anyway imma post when i get it and how many attempts for it for u curious ppl

Yea, 60 lock, I farm this guy all the time. I would really only recommend it though if you an DE the loot he drops.

soloed him with a 60 rogue quite easily, don't even have uber equipment. sap one of the guards and kill him. when he dies, loot the corpse and vanish.

I solo him and his 2 adds with relative ease as a 60 undead shadow priest. I've solo'd him so much now, he dropped a nice purple ring for me once! "The Underworld Band"

that lvl 500 thing is just to show that it is a SKULL LEVEL !
if u were smart enough u would know why the site does that

however the only thing i find wierd is why they put 37 - 500,...i dont see why they did that

any way i faced this guy wit hmy raid party of 1 warrior (me) 2 paladins, 4 presiets , 3 warlocks, and 4 mages

definetly a worth while battle, got alot of green, and got that nice asss gun :P
defenitly fight this guy ...its worth ur while
