Resilient Explorers
The bold and courageous dwarves are an ancient race descended from the earthen—beings of living stone created by the titans when the world was young.
Due to a strange malady known as the Curse of Flesh, the dwarves’ earthen progenitors underwent a transformation that turned their rocky hides into soft skin.
Ultimately, these creatures of flesh and blood dubbed themselves dwarves and carved out the mighty city of Ironforge in the snowy peaks of Khaz Modan

The stoic dwarves of Ironforge are an ancient race of robust humanoids who live beneath the snow-capped mountains of Khaz Modan.
The Dwarves have always been fast allies with the Humans, and they revel in the prospects of battle and storytelling alike.
In past ages, the Dwarves rarely left the safety of their mountain fortresses.
However, whenever the call to battle sounded, they rose up to defend their friends and allies with unmatched courage and valor.

Due to a recent discovery that uncovered fragments of their ancient origins, the Dwarves have undergone a remarkable transformation.
The discovery convinced the Dwarves that the mighty Titans created them from stone when the world was young.
They feel that their destiny is now to search the world over for more signs and proof of their enchanted heritage and to rediscover the Titans' hidden legacies.
To this end, the Dwarves have sent out their Prospectors to all ends of the world in the hopes of discovering new insight into their shrouded past.
These journeys led to Dwarven excavation sites all over the known world, some of which serve as outposts and some of which serve as potential hunting grounds for enemies of the Dwarven race.

Carved into the stone heart of Khaz Modan, the mighty city of Ironforge is a testament to the dwarves’ strength and resilience.
During the Second War between orcs and humans, many dwarven strongholds fell to the onslaught of the Horde, yet Ironforge was never breached.

For many years, three dwarven clans—the Bronzebeards, the Wildhammers, and the Dark Irons—lived united in Ironforge under the wise rule of High King Modimus Anvilmar.
When Modimus passed away, tensions boiled over among the clans, and war erupted for control of the city.
Thus began the War of the Three Hammers, a savage conflict that raged for many years, during which time the Bronzebeard clan won sole ownership of Ironforge, severing relations among the other clans and expelling its rivals.

Their main city, Forgefer, is an underground city within the mountain range of Khaz Modan, in Dun Morogh.
Originally the home to the three separate Dwarven Clans, Ironforge is now solely home to this playable Dwarf Clan, the Bronzebeard clan.

Hi i am new to the whole dwarven scene, i have been playing the classes throughout my free tiral (10 days) and i didn't get the chance to use the Dwarven race, i have seen and heard good things i am paticularly interested in the "treasure finder" that sounds cool.

I have played Human (mage)
I have played NE (Druid)
I have played Gnome (warlock)

i found the NE, very boring, as their are so many of them =(, i have recently bought WoW and should be arriving tomoro midday, and i will get members and get going.

I cannot be a rouge as i have a close friend who is going to make a rouge, i think i want to be a warrior.

any suggestions on the following questions / queries:

--> Type of dwarf (excluding rouge)

--> The 2 professions (excluding Tailoring + enchanting)

--> ways of making easy cash

--> what i should aim for for the fist 2 weeks

Will a Dwarf hunter be any good since they get a increase in gun skill? I mean i think it would be cool to have a dwarf with a big boom stick and a pet wolf eating someones leg.

I just got a gun and I just learned the shoot gun skill, and I have equiped it in my ranged slot, but when i target the enemy and tell him to fire, my character does not fire. any suggestions?

Hey i plan to start playing WoW and i want a Good PVP char i thought Rouge sounded Bad@$$ ao i think ill go with them but i can't deside if i wanna go Dwarf or Human so help me out and what is the best #/#/# for a PvP rouge

Hello! I am a Former Galka of ASURA from FFXI and Quit the game recently.. I am doing reasearch on Wow and i want to be a Dwarf... I am just Wondering if this game is hard. by that i mean is money hard to make. I spent too much time trying to make GILL. Also I am thinking about waiting after January for the expansion to come out because i was told new races are comming out. i am the type of player who chooses a character based on looks. then i choose job... but however this game has specific jobs for specific races. But anyways i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips for the game before i play. Anyways thanks for the response if you reply ^^.... i am thinking of being a Rouge or Warrior as a first choice.

I have been considering going over to WoW lately (getting gil in ffxi is hell in itself and it's a bit too party-oriented for exp sometimes). I have a few questions. First of all, if I go over I'm thinking I'd like dwarf if I go alliance and tauren if I go horde. A dwarven warrior or hunter is probably my top choice at this point.
Ok here are a few questions.
1. How hard is it to make money in this game(almost all crafts in ffxi take a lot of gil to get high or a lot of time to even make decent profits)?
2. What is the monthly fee (I could probably find this but I haven't gone to any official WoW website to check stuff like that)?
3. Is there anywhere I can find the faces/hairstyles/colors each race? I'd like to see more of how customized they can be and if there's a specific dwarf face/hairstyle I like.
4. Any suggestions on amount of RAM, memory, processor, video card, etc. (I'm not an expert on computers but I'd like to buy my own computer seperate from family computer and make it a good "gaming computer" I guess you'd call it)?

I like dwarfs because they are one of the strongest players in the gam even though they are short and slow. I really would want to see more dwarfs play in the game because there isnt that many now

I'm pretty sure my friend is just ****ing me, but please just tell me this to be sure: can dwarf rogues use axes? He insists that he's seen a dwarf rogue with an axe and that it's one of their racial abilities, but I think he's just being an ass.

I am looking for leveling infor for 1-10. I'm going to break down and pick up WoW today, and will be starting a Dorf rogue or hunter. (Probably rogue, maybe both.) I would appreciate info on leveling and any stackables that might be easy money. Or, any info on Dorf's, rogues, etc.

What are dwarven starting stats for the various Classes they can be... or are all races equal when starting and just advnace differently during leveling up...i could not find any clear info about this matter for dwarves or any other races..please advise

I have heard a rumor from my homies that the jump action for dwarfs is defected for some odd reason they do not jump as high as the other races.. i am unsure if this is true or not but they have said that there is one wall that even gnomes can jump over but dwarfs canot? if u have also discovered this please mention it before i make the mistake of having a dwarf as an alter ego.

hello everyone ill be starting this game in a while as a dwarf of course. But i was playing FF11 for a while and i just didnt like the story or really anything about it so i figured i would go and give this game a shot i got some money for my birthday and thought to get this. So i would like you guys thoughts about this game and if i would like it i used to play star wars galaxies and the thing i liked about that compared to FF11 was that fact that there was always a way to help people out and most people were really nice but in ff11 most people were a-holes. Im all about roleplaying so if anyone is really in to that and willing to help show me the ropes of this game i would love the help until that time. Good bye.

I made a dwarf rogue because I figured the dwarf treasure finding ability would complement the rogue picklock skill. So far I have only seen one chest show using this ability but could not find it where it was supposed to be. I walked up and down over the area where it showed up on the map and clicked all over the ground but found nothing. So now I'm thinking that this may be a skill that was considered overpowered and then nerfed into uselessness. Has anyone had more experience using this? Is it a skill worth considering as a valuable choice? Am I using it wrong, or is it a busted/nerfed ability?

What do you think on this race and class together? I think it would be pretty good, I hope. I'm starting a new character with it soon.

Dwarf. Why else would I be in this forum? ^^ I think that a dwarf will be fun to play as. I was thinking that it makes a game fun when you're not something you see everyday (talking about humans). I think that being a Dwarf Paladin is going to be really fun ^^

Well what does everybody think of them?
I think the strength advantage is great even though you aren't as fast as say a night elf rogue. And when u get to higher levels (especially equiped with dex+ weps/armour/acc) you kick ass!

hey ya! like... i just have bought this game now and i want to know, what is the best race (like... i want to know what race is know kicking ass) like i have a friend saids the human guys rocks the game, but, i see the dwarf a cool race! if i go to dwarf i want to be a hunter, but i really want to choose a race that rocks, night elfs appears to be cool to but no soooo cool as the dwarfs... plz give me just a little help and say what is the race who really rocks...

Hey all, i want to make a dwarf but not sure if i want to make an pally or a hunter, i have a hunter at lvl 16 and dont mind making a pally instead, and i dont want 2 characters to much to worry about.
