The easiest pot of oil to get is in a camp at the furthest southern tip of Night Run.

The mobs there are lower level and don't stun like the Satyrnaar satyrs. They do have a short silence spell, but on my mage, I found it to be more annoying than crippling.

When you first enter Satyrnaar you enter a camp full of satyrs. The drops are good for the horns but if you haven't already gotten the Warson Oil then I suggest you go a tad bit north in which you'll find another camp with diffrent satyrs and the oil is in the one camp that is found up there.

For me I saw at least 3-4 different yellow jugs shown here (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/object=178195) that could be picked up in various different spots of the whole camp.

Must I do something in order to make this stuff appear? I have spent hours trying to find Warsong Oil in the Satyr camp to no avail, nor have the four people who have been helping me.

This is not a drop, its an object on the ground. It can be found in satyr camps near their tents.

I have the problem that I just cant see it. People show me and stand on them where they are, and yet I just cant seem to see them...?Anyone else having this problem? I am about to go insane. I sent a ticket to a GM maybe they will fix it sooner or later GRAWR

Found it immediately at the tents to the right as you enter Satyrnaar. Guarded by a few mobs, no biggie if you take them one at a time or bring a friend. Hover around and you'll see it. Looks like a green jug. Just remember it's on the ground, not a drop.

I dropped this oil in a camp under a tent and i was with a friend who was searching this too. We stay one hour in the same camp and not appear, so we went in an other camp and we found it, Consequently, if you want find the Warsong oil look in all the camp between raynewood retreat and splintertree post.. :)

The oil does jump from inbetween those 3 camps and that is that!
Also once you loot it your party mates can find tons of them in the same camp you got the first one.

It is a random spawn, it's in one camp at a time, when someone picks it up it respawns in another camp. I found mine in xavian (third character attemting to do the quest, first to suceed ^^). That, together with the data collection that shows white areas in all three camps as well as people stating that they've found it in the different camps support my theory. Hence the poster before me is incorrect in his statement that he alone describes the exact location, since it's quite obvious there are several.

the oil is not just in the tents. It is also buy the trees south of the tents. This is good to know cuz i was searching for about a half hour at the top of the camp, if u cant find it up top check down below

This was very easy for me, as a lvl 22 warrior.
Just run in to where the mug is, get all the agro from all mobs around, use Intimedating shout(the fear effect),Loot and be happy =)

I found it as a vase, right next to one of the southern trees. Coords: 79,50, saw another at 81,50 so there isnt just one, they spawn all over.

It seems to be like a couple other said, it spawns most in Night Run. I went there, and found it immediately in the main camp there.

I just did this quest for probably the 4th time, and today was the first time I had to go to night run to get it. I guess if it isn't in the 1 camp u have to go to the other. Does any1 know if u can get the horns here too?

Finally i have found it...at 66, 56. I stealthed down to Night Run and it's next to a tent below what looks like a spit. Ill try and submit a screen shot of it above to help :P

soloed as 24 war. found in satyrnaar, the object you click on looks like a vase and (mine) was guarded by two stealthed satyrs. all i did was use bloodrage, run up to them, let them hit me a few times and popped Intimidating Shout. once they were feared i grabbed the oil and bounced :).

(they ran back after me and i used piercing howl and escaped the whole camp w/o dying once)

standing on top of the oil, mine was at 80,50. I waltzed right into the camp, first one i tried, someone else had killed everything, got the oil and blinked right back out. very easy

finally after searching all camps it appeared at xavian (with the highest lvl mobs ofc) had 2 cans of oil waiting for me,

Just finished this as a 22 rogue. Was pretty difficult but I finally managed. I got the oil from the night run base. 2 spawned but I couldn't get the first one because it was guarded by 3 satyrs. The second one only had 2 and they were spaced apart. I had to use evasion and a health pot to survive. But I guess if you careful you can solo it at this level .

after patch 2.3 warsong oil spawns in Xavian camp and - there is 2-3 jars not just 1

Found it in the gates of Satyrnaar, hard left, follow the hill/trees and it's behind a bush. Yellow vase looking thing.

It's not a drop… it's like a lootable item (kind of like a food crate, but looks like a bottle)

I had a much, much better drop rate on both the satyr horns and the oil at night run than satyrnaar.

Yeah i couldnt get this item to drop either. I killed the satyrs for hours with no luck.

i spent half an hour all over the camp searching every tent and the surrouning area. we could not find it. the mobs respawn non-stop but the oil?

I think blizz may have made this quest easier at least with the oil. When I did it I found several of the jugs of oil at Night Run and I'm guessing it was the same at the other camps.

I just got this item tonite in Satyrnaar as a ground spawn near the tents. The object was a small brown water pitcher. Got 2 of them in about 5 minutes, so I don't think its that rare, just hard to find.

I have done this quest enough. It spawns in various of places. the 4 times i have gone here. It spawns either in one of the Tent areas in the main area or..... when you first enter the camp follow the left wall and its up on a lil hill to the left by a tree. its in a blueish aqua vase.

Does this stuff actually appear anymore? I have spent hours searching with a party of four, and had NO luck. I know that this appears in a box/chest/something and is not a drop, but I have been all over the Satyr camp and killed them dozens of times without finding this.

This is not a drop. It is as Patchey stated a small brownish yellow waterpitcher thing. I saw it in many tents in the satyr village.

ok i just say it.. its a drop and you can find it ..(very low drop rate)

you can find it on: 81,50 but there are much monsters so i thing if you low lvl you need help.

If you can't find it in Satyr, try Xiavian which is just up north from Satyr.

Just note that Anilia in Ashenvale is listed with a 40% drop rate. She is flagged PVP and has no loot table.

I just leveled my sixth toon in Classic though this quest and had used Night Run for the previous five without issue. Tonight, there was no oil there at all. I love Night Run as a grind spot so I always spend some additional time there after getting all 16 horns and it never appeared. Had to run over to Satyrnnar (spelling?) and get one there later on.

I am guessing that a certain number of these can exist in the entire zone at once and this leads to sometimes some of the satyr camps having several and sometimes not having one at all.
