Total of 180 mana spread out over 15 minutes. It's not much, but every little bit helps ..

At the higher levels, food like this would be nice to stack with gear and other buffs that add a similar effect. Stack it all together and it does make a noticeable difference. At lower levels, though, it's hard to find any gear that offers mp5 at all.

A fantastic food for a good many levels. The raw sagefish is easy to catch in pools around Loch Modan and Silverpine (depending on whether you're a lowbie Horde or Alliance), and the cooking is easy enough to get to the proper point to make it yourself. Carry around a stack of this at all times until you're level 30, and able to upgrade to the Sagefish Delight (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=21217)

Smoked Sagefish is another of those annoying level differences that frequently occur in WoW, being that you can use them from level 10, and they are excellent for any mana user up until level 20+

In addition, the fishing skill required to catch them is within easy reach for the applicable levels described. Minimum 70 I would say, but you will need Nightcrawler Worms (+50 for 10 minutes) to avoid too many getting away.

The central issue is that the best fishing point for them is along the river beside Tarren Mill. Level wise the Mobs are level 25+ in the area, and getting there is a pain - especially in a PvP realm.

If based in Kalimdor you will need to take a zep from Orgrimmar to the Undercity. Then head towards The Sepulcher in Silverpine (and pick up the FP, you might as well do this in Undercity as well).

Then on towards Hillsbrad and up to Tarren Mill. I got killed once doing this - I went the wrong way into Western Plaguelands! I would have got killed in Hillsbrad too (level 23+) but was rescued by a Gnome mage who hugged me (If you are reading this thanks, and I'm sorry I hit you a few times, I was on autohit :])

Once at Tarren Mill get the FP and check the mini map for the river. Start at a point level with Tarren Mill and look for the pulsing blue circles of Sagefish Schools. You need to plant the bobber in or close to the circle. Every fish you catch will be a sagefish if placed correctly. When the school runs out head downstream and pick up the next one etc.

I'm not sure what raw or cooked sagefish sell for. On my realm (Hellscream EU), there was nothing up for auction, apart from the recipes - at a scandalous price.

Mobs are bears and spiders level 24+, I died once, but because the turtles there are passive it's pretty easy. I caught 40 in 23 minutes and brought my fishing from 75 to 106.

Voila. I know some people find fishing late in life, I cannot recommend it enough. It is the easiest way to level up cooking and the rewards for time spent is minimal.

There is also greater raw/cooked sagefish at higher levels so the bonus is repeatable.

Incidentally, I hear some people have problems getting fishing started. You will need a fishing trainer (duh) and a fishing rod (duh) which you get from the fishing supplier (should be right beside the fishing trainer). You might buy some recipes while you are at it. Then go to the local pool and start. Right click on the fishing rod in your bags to equip. Put the fishing icon from your skills list on a hotbar and right click. That's it. Applying bait (Hands up, it took me a while to figure this), you purchase the bait and bring up your character (c). Right click on the bait so the curser hand goes blue, then right click on the rod in the charcter menu. I do recommend bait to save time.

That's wonderfull help for the Horde areas, now can someone help me in the Allied zones please? Where's the best places to fish these?

Sagefish schools are also found at the Decrepit Ferry, just east of the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest, for Horde at least. I farmed 10 in under 10 minutes. Obviously very good loot to sell if you don't use Mana (Rogues).

Benefit: mobs are only 15 and 16s, so much safer for lowbies than Tarren Mill.

These fish can be found around The Loch, in Loch Modan, I usually just run around the shore til I see a school and begin to fish, the schools respawn fast.

Lot of sagefishes are in the river near Southshore. But only in the fish schools!

I have fished these in the lake south of Stone Talon Peak where the junction is for the Charred Vale.
