I just finished the quest where you need 15 of these. Just head to Silithus and kill all the spiders and scorpions you see. Took me roughly an hour to complete. The other items the mobs drop vendor for an alright price too, so it's not too painful.

and make sure to save up your glowing scorpid blood for Darkmoon Faire Tickets :P :D otherwise sell it, nice value ^^

killed 50+ of the scorpids/spiders in silithus got nothing..

what could i be doing wrong?

The drop rate sucks, but just keep killing them. The Coords above are correct.

10 first rock stalkers dropped. every one of them. then i had to kill maybe 15 more for the 5 remaining venom samples.

I tried to grind flayers&stalkers; around mid-eastern silithus but found the droprate was sucky therefore and went to mid-southern silithus instead and there I found the droprate being much better!.. much better.

Grind around 46,72!

I went to 35,35 area and farmed scorpions and spiders. The drop rate was about 50%. Just watch for the sand worms and occasional wind elemental and it is pretty easy.

Tried the mobs in the northeast section, killed about 15 and didnt get a single venom sample. Then, I moved to near the center of the zone at about 48,69 and now I'm getting one nearly every kill. It's a FAR better place than the northeast part of the zone as was suggested.

Stonelash Flayers and Rock Stalkers (about lvl 58) are the best.

I killed about 30 scorps/spiders a few weeks ago, got 8. Went back to finish this morning and I have killed over 100 without a single drop...so I dropped and got the quest again...another 75+ kills without a single drop.

Sand Skitterer had the best drop rate for me there a little east of CH

Took me less than 30 minutes to gaather all the venom. I just killed sand skitters and flayed scorpids and the drop rate was decent.

I collected the last 6 with 100% drop rate, the key being that I had to melee them to death the last few hits. Every single time I was poisoned while looting.

NW of CH all around 35,22 it took me about 30-45 minutes.

Sand Skitterer 45% (11/25)
Stonelash Scorpid 12% (3/26)
Stonelash Pincer 33% (1/3)

I was down by that guys camp at the bottom "questioning him" and his buddy. Ran into a 58 Rock Stalker and realized I had another quest her when I got a venom drop. I started killing everything in the area and figured out the I never got a drop from a 57 after 6/7 straight kills. Went all 58's and went 14 for 16 on drops. Fluke? No idea... but it worked for me.

Don't do it. It takes an hour, and by the time you can wear it, you could have done an outlands quest in half the time and got a better reward. Plus save 20G.

killed 21 looted 15 mostly the scorpions droped it stay off the snakes never killed one rock stalker

Try East of Cenarion Hold and south of the road. Theres a quest to kill the Dredgers there also, so you can earn yourself some exp/gold and get this quest done all at the same time. Took about 45 minutes to get all 15 here.

they drop in slilithus, and it says dungeon becuse the beastalker bingings drops there =)

drop rate "seems" to be about 20-25%. So for all 15 for the shaman quest you are looking at about 60-75 spiders/scorpions to kill. again this is what it "seems" like.

As MD/Ruin geared mostly in blues, it took me about an hour & 15 minutes to finish.

Get the Deadly Desert Venom quest from a goblin on the 2nd floor of the inn while you do this quest. I got 3 stingers & fangs while getting the venom.

The venom samples drop from the spiders and scorpions in silithus i have gotten 6/15 samples so far. the spiders and scorpins are located all over silithus i think, i got 6 samples in about 15 mins
