Yes, there is a Warlock quest that involves getting a Lesser Infernal Stone from these bad boys called Components for the Enchanted Gold Bloodrobe

After the shattering, these no longer drop any loot outside of the Infernal Power Core to start a quest (Horde version).

This is likely due to their new behavior where they spawn from meteors hitting the ground and dying a short time afterward on their own.

A good method for killing them is to use a Felhunter to get rid of its Fire Shield, and yes, it is immune to all fire damage to my knowledge. Also, the Hatefuries are all in the northeastern region of Desolace at a large ruin.

I went there at lvl 33 and my lvl 34 friend priest. We first used Scorching Wands and it kept being immune. Luckily we both had Gravestone Sceptors (shadow damage) and took them down. Got mine on first drop.

Be warned that Infernal inférieurs are immune to fire spells and wands.
