Added in patch 5.2, this achievement requires you to summon and defeat 9 new elites across the new Isle of Thunder.

Once you have collected 3xShan'ze Ritual Stone from the rare elites of Champions of Lei Shen, or from treasure chests across the Isle of Thunder, you can summon any one of these 5 man bosses from their Ritual Stone.

In order to summon a boss on the Isle of Thunder, you must first collect three Shan'ze Ritual Stone's. Although there are other sources—they're reliably obtainable, once per week, from the rare elites and treasure chests scattered across the island. For a map identifying the location of each bosses' respective ritual stone and a preview of what to expect upon encountering them, take a look at this guide.

Make sure to pickup Champions of the Thunder King prior to summoning; it can be completed weekly.

Caution:
These encounters are intended to be undertaken with the help of up to four additional players. Depending upon gear level, class, and specialization, it may be possible to solo—at least some of them. However, keep in mind that if you die, they'll despawn and you'll have lost your stones.

At the moment, none of these bosses are leashed to their spawn points and will therefore not reset with range. This may allow you to mitigate many of their mechanics through kiting.

I just killed Incomplete Drakkari Colossu and it didn't give me credit towards the achievement. Be careful: it may be bugged at the moment.

I also did not receive credit for killing Incomplete Drakkari Colossus although I did get credit toward the weekly quest. Opened a ticket but GM said he had no record of my killing it and didn't give me credit.

It still seems to be bugged. Just killed Incomplete Drakkari Colossu twice and no credit. Took someones advice on regrouping and it didnt work for us. So be aware before you waste your stones.

So apperently the bug is caused by people killing it during its flamethrower. I just finally got this achieve on my 6th kill.

I really really hope this helps anyone who experienced 'bugs' where you kill the mob but don't get achievement criteria.

TL;DR Stand as close to the boss as possible when it's about to die.

I had several 'bug' issues where I completed kills for several of the champions but did not receive credit for the achievement. As our group's healer, I was typically standing a little farther away from everyone to stay out of damaging effects. I did, however, get credit for the weekly quest to kill one of each type, so clearly the game was recognizing my kills. After every kill that didn't give me credit, I would open a ticket, wait 3 days for a response and then be told that no, I would not be receiving any credit for my achievement. Eventually after multiple (and I mean MULTIPLE) kills of the same mob with no credit I think I figured out the problem through trial and error. The last champ I needed was Spirit of Warlord Teng, located in the cave below the building at Court of Bones. When I finally received credit for killing him and got my achievement, I had wasted a total of 18 stones (6 kills without credit) on him alone - not to mention all the other champs that did the same thing.

Please keep in mind that I have no GM confirmation on this, just my experience, so it might be worthless. I just hope I can save someone else the 6 weeks I wasted trying to get this. I think the problem was that I was not close enough to the champ when it died because by the end of all my attempts there was nothing left that I could even think of to try. For it to be that simple of a problem seems ridiculous to me but I don't know what else it could be. After my first failed attempt, I would specifically invite as many people as I could to my party who had never killed that particular boss and see if they got the achievement criteria for it and we tested as many possible things as we could to see what stops you from getting the achieve.

Here is a list of things that did not seem to matter at all regarding the achievement:

Damage done (told 1 person not to attack the boss at all - zero damage, just stand around looking pretty - he got the achievement for the kill)
Stuck in the coffin (the mechanic that sucks you into the coffin - we timed it to have a player inside the coffin when he went down - that player received credit while inside the coffin when the boss died)
Line of sight (had 1 dps run behind a pillar right before the boss died, he still received credit)
Dead (had a dps get naked and stand in the hurty stuff on the ground until he died, then killed boss. He did not get credit but I was never dead during my failed attempts. I don't actually know if he didn't get credit because dead or because being too far away.)
Using my own stones to summon (used my own stones to summon the boss - all other party members received credit - I did not)
Using someone else's stones to summon (asked someone else to use their stones - other party members received credit, I did not)
'Stealing' the boss from a non-party member's summon (had a 6th person summon the boss and then our group killed it - I don't even know why I thought this would make any difference but I was getting desperate)
Reloading UI, disabling addons, etc (tried a bunch of non-fight mechanic things - did not change the outcome)

That's not even all the crap I tried but this is getting really long and I doubt anyone gives a crap. Anywho, the last attempt, we all just stacked on the boss at 5% and I got my achieve. I almost gave up giving a crap about this achieve on the 3rd or 4th time after hearing of other people who just wrote a ticket and had a GM just magically grant them credit for it. I spoke to 5 different GMs who all told me they couldn't do it and I would just have to try again and again. I'm probably a giant idiot for not trying that sooner, but oh well.

If you are exalted with your Isle Of Thunder faction and have a ton of those Lesser Charms, like about 5k of them, you can buy 20 Elder Charms (which is the cap) with 20 for each on Commander Lo Ping, one of the Quartermaster on Niu Zao Temple, Townlong Steppes.

Then head to your faction Quartermaster on the Isle of Thunder (Vasarin/Hiren) and buy a Sunreaver Bounty/Arcane Trove with 15 Elder Charms. You will mostly win about 5 Charms back and other stuff (got one on 3rd attempt).
According to wowhead, there's about 20 % chance you'll get a stone from either and each boxes, which seems more promising than stalking all rares on the Island, specially if there may be other people killing them too.

Also you can buy the boxes on Supplier Bao near Taran'zhu, but the Quartermasters are closer to the portals back to main land, which saves you some time too.

thus far have been able to solo these as a lvl 100 combat rogue with ilvl 642 gear.

You may like to combine your It Was Worth Every Ritual Stone, Frostbitten, and Bloody Rare (etc) macros.

The Rare Love AddOn over at Curse and WoW Interface does this for you, and some other stuff too. All in one convenient macro.

It also individually includes the Cata rares like Burgy Blackheart as they are not grouped into an overall achievement such as this one.

Most importantly, it runs lean and clean. Little cpu/fps impact and a tiny memory footprint.

If anyone is interesting in doing this achievement together, considering the ritual stones being very tedious to farm alone. Feel free to Add Archaus#2588 (EU-horde). Let's combine our forces and never visit that stupid rotting island ever again.

Ok so here is how i have done it to speed up the process of obtaining the archievement:

First you gotta have more than one character ON THE SAME SERVER. I have chosen my rogue because you get the ritual stones from caches in the trove scenario (you get keys from Marin Noggenfogger for the daily ticket - had several stones then). Summon the boss on your toon and be infight with him. Quit the Game (end wow.exe per task manager) and load up the game again. Now log on your Main character (which should also already be near the boss of course) and kill the boss. You get the credit and if you somehow attacked with your toon he gets the credit too. Repeat with all bosses. I got the achievement in 3 days without excessively farming/camping the rares.

The fastest way to complete this achievement nowadays is to farm 3 Shan'ze Ritual Stone on each of your alt. The more alts you have, the faster you'll complete the achievement (i.e. having 9 characters will allow you to complete the achievement in 1 day, having 5-8 characters will take 2 days (start one day before the weekly reset and continue after the reset).

For me the most reliable way to farm Shan'ze Ritual Stone was to:

kill a rare.

complete the quest The Crumbled Chamberlain. It'll be faster after the first time since you'll know where to look for the four quest items.

find one of the Trove of the Thunder King. Sometimes these will respawn at the same location after a few minutes.

Before you summon the boss, make sure your alt and your main are on the same server (enable/disable warmode) and are both close to the location of the respective boss.
They don't have to be in a group. Now summon the boss on your alt (don't attack him yet), close the game, swap to your main and kill the boss.

Killing one boss will take about 15minutes, depending on how fast you find the treasure chests and the quest items.

Fastest way to complete this achievement as of patch 9.0.5:

TURN OFF AUTO LOOT (or use your manual loot bind, safer just to disable)

Kill the rares on the isle but DO NOT loot the Shan'ze Ritual Stone. You can loot everything else off the rare. The stones will be mailed to you when you rezone or after a bit of time.

This trick requires having the 'weekly' cooldown of receiving a Shan'ze Ritual Stone off a rare to be up. As long as you haven't killed a rare and looted one off the body during the current week, this trick will work.

Running around the island looking for rares to get Shan'ze Ritual Stone is terrible but here is a key:

Key: Do Not Loot Them!, you will be mailed the items later. So you can kill as many times as you want. If you loot, you will only get 1 stone each week per rare.
They will be mailed to you after the mod despawns which is about 15 minutes.

Also, Make sure the Incomplete Drakkari Colossus is attacking you before you kill it!

I am lvl 70. This was the last one in needed for the achievement. I summoned it and attacked right away and it did not give me credit for the kill. I had to grind 3 more Shan'ze Ritual Stones to summon again.

This time I wait until it started moving and let it attack me. You have to be in melee range for this. After that my kill was recorded and I got the achievement It Was Worth Every Ritual Stone.

Respawn times seems to be an hour for all the rares.

To not go insane do as the other comment said, kill rares but do not loot the stones, it will come in the mail and just keep killing to you have enough in the mail, then go for achieve. Instead of taking weeks it took an evening (-:

A quick script to add tomtom waypoints of all mobs you have not killed. It's short enough to put into a single macro or paste right into the chat window:

If you're following this strategy and you're trading Lesser Charm of Good Fortune for Elder Charm of Good Fortune, you can use the following macro with the vendor window of Commander Lo Ping open to cap your Elder Charm of Good Fortune:

As mention in previous posts, you can loot more than one Shan'ze Ritual Stone a week by looting bosses with auto loot off and forcing the drops to be sent to your mailbox. This can be done an unlimited amount of times as long as you never physically loot a Shan'ze Ritual Stone from a rare or chest. Summonable bosses can also be looted mutiple times a week for those interested in farming the epic weapon drops for transmog.
